I Am What You Fear?
written by Missy
you walk so quickly past me,
fear quaking in your eyes
I smile with amusement
for it is so very strange to me
that you should be so afraid
of a pathetic little sycophant
who hides behind you in the shadows
unable to speak out from the darkness
trapped by something you'd never believe in
forced silent by the howling storm
and feeding off the bones of the sacred.
turn your light on and I will die
without the shadows to seek comfort in -
the roses stand majestic in the sunlight,
but my skin rots away with the lies that it brings
Back To Bare Bones
