I have been a fan of Ozzy Osbourne since the late 70's. I first began to listen to him when he was the lead singer for Black Sabbath. Ozzy's vocal style is in a class by itself. Over the years, Ozzy has gone through many changes, both physical, and in the
style of his music, but there is one thing that
remains consistant...the devotional following of his
fans.
Some of my favorite songs are "Bark At
The Moon", "Goodbye To Romance", "Crazy Train", and
"Suicide Solution". Granted, "Suicide Solution" has
gotten a pretty bad rap over the years, but I believe that Ozzy had a different meaning in mind. All
anybody has to do is play the tape or CD, and listen
very closely to the lyrics. Granted, all lyrics can
be interpreted differently by anyone. I believe that
Ozzy meant that abusing drugs and alcohol would
eventually lead to a "suicide" of sorts, and that the song was a warning to "Clean up your act", so to
speak.
