On the 16th of April this year, Janet
started her Velvet rope tour in Rotterdam
(The Netherlands) I happened to
be one of the lucky people who was first to enjoy her
incredible show there in Rotterdam,
and what a show it was!!!
Her show started off with lots of
fireworks, and even today i do not know whether it were
those fireworks, or her magical
appearance when she first walked onto that stage, that made
tears roll down my face!!!
Incredible special effects, great
choreography and dancers, an angelic voice singing lyrics
filled with emotions, and the magical
appearance of a truly amazing woman made this show
something that i will carry along
in my heart for the rest of my life!!
Oh yes!! JANET CAPTURED MY HEART!!!
The Velvet Rope album seems to be
the most Personal album
so far in Janet's career.
On this album we are being confronted
with issues like Sex and sexual preference, Abuse, Discrimination, Heartache
and, what the whole album seems to be about :"The need to feel special".
For me personally, the style of
the album was something that took some time to get used to, but i took
my time to listen to it more carefully, and came to the conclusion that,
to me, this is Janet's best album so far!!
