Why don't things ever happen like they do to almost everyone else. You know how most people just seamlessly fall into place. What about the dreamers that live inside everyday? I feel everyday that there is not enough time to do everything I need to do and can't stop from trying. I want something to happen, my head is full of ideas and there is no one to share them with. Maybe it's this town, the people in this town, me or this culture. It's like when I talked with Jack Dejohnette(World greatest drummer no buts about it) and I asked why he hasn't played in the U.S. in so long. His reply was that he is not appreciated in the U.S. like he is in France. I'm not going to get started on are ever consuming culture. I'm always thinking twice about things in this town. I start thinking, I have no circle of friends and that maybe I need to change to fit in better with the people I do know. But I don't want to change and be someone else because then I'd be normal. I want a circle of no bounds where anybody can be anything. A lot of the people I know are so two faced and just do things to be something there not. I don't go out and get piercings, clothes, tattoos that fit the new standard for cool because the new fashion trend is your down fall, Corporate America making a buck off you. Maybe that's why I don't like T.V. because it's usually crap that Corporations watered down for cornering a market.
My view on how things become popular in the U.S.: it=music, art, books, and etc.
You want examples: Real Jazz not that Slow hippy funk Jazz crap, Techno, and Industrial music(I laugh at Ramstien but there laughing all the way to the bank.)

In the world of music, radio allows the average person access to the industry’s ‘pop’ culture. Below this face lies a world of creation more vast than a surface knowledge can impart. Independent music holds the key to modern thought, allowing individuals who are motivated by the art of music to express and display their talents without the need to go through business rhetoric that often corrupts pure creative thought. Different local scenes are also given the opportunity to show their cultural identities, individuality, and add their own influence on the world music community. In doing so, they communicate their view of a time, place, or emotion, helping to bring people together. Major music industry, including ‘pop’ labels and radio, saccharin out what artists are attempting to say in order to please a market, not people. Doing so denies the world a necessary commodity. In order to ensure free growth of thought, individuals must be made aware of the vast number of musical identities. Practice good aural hygiene, support independent music.
