Fans' Publicity Stunt II

Coming from the insane mind of Animal, webmaster of Animal's Summer Shed

(with a little help from his friends)...

... did you think we'd give up THAT easily?! I think not!

I was thinking, with a momentary lapse of reason, that maybe we should retry our publicity stunt. This will happen the last monday of May. We fans of Def Leppard should all go to MTV's website and vote for a Lep video for the Total Request show.

See, here's the idea: we get all the fans we know to tell all of their friends and have them tell their friends … and have everyone we know who is email and surf compatible to all vote for a Lep video. And if you can't email, CALL! If you live in New York, get a sign and go! Show your support for the band and the new single!!!

... ain't it time that we start getting some attention?! ... for the Leps and for their new single that is due out at the end of May and for their highly anticipated new album due out on June 8th.

All right then ... get all your friends, relatives, and the family dog over there to VOTE for the video "Promises" on MAY 31ST! That's the monday of May set aside for Memorial day, and I think most of us might have the day off …Let's make it a mermorable monday! The first step is to get a hold of our friends. The second step is to vote!! How easy is THAT?!?! If anyone wants a reminder that saturday/sunday before, get a hold of Animal (defanimal@yahoo.com) or Luci (lucifera@oocities.com) and we'll gladly do it.

Click on "Play My Song" and it should give you a list of songs and artists ... the fill-in-the-blank is near the bottom and for the comment box, show your support!!! Tell them how you feel about the band. How you feel about the new album. Info ON the new album. Tell them "PLAY THE NEW SINGLE!" Or something along those lines. *grin*

Our BEST bet to get counted is to have all the votes in BY 12:00 PM New York Time!!! For those on the west coast that's like 8 or 9 in the morning… so PLEASE TRY!

And what else would be great is if those of you with homepages could announce our little publicity stunt, that would be GREAT! I KNOW it's short notice but we gotta try this!

Let's get MTV's attention and get those who are complaining about the lack of publicity to DO something about it!!

And PLEASE! Post this everywhere you can think of! Any lists, boards ... anywhere! Let's make one hell of a lot of noise!
