Before he died, Brian Epstein signed the Beatles to do a TV movie special. After his death, the Beatles were left to sort out the pieces of this. Paul took charge, but it was still the Beatles' first public flop. The soundtrack, released in late 1967, wasn't bad at all, though it was a step down from Sgt. Pepper. The cover featured a group shot of the Beatles in their animal costumes from the movie. Two bright spots in thje music were John and Paul's personal bios, Strawberry Fields Forever and Penny Lane, respectively. John's other major contributions were I Am The Walrus and All You Need Is Love . Paul's other major contribution was Hello Goodbye.
