Every week in church we sing two or more Praise Choruses along with our regular hymns. Here are some I especially love:
After my friends got in an accident, we sang this in our Campainers Bible study:
1. Oh, Protector of my soul,
You will stand against the foe;
In the dark You'll be a light for me,
Oh, Protector of my soul.
Chorus
You, Who created the ends of the earth
Guided me unto Your throne;
Offered Your healing hand to me,
Mercif'lly made me Your own.
2. Oh gracious God above,
I could never earn Your love;
I'm amazed to see all You've given me,
Oh gracious God above.
Chorus
3. Oh Holy Spirit, come,
Show the world where life comes from;
May they always see You alive in me,
Oh, Holy Spirit, come.
Chorus
4. Oh, Protector of my soul,
You will stand against the foe;
In the dark You'll be a light for me,
Oh, Protector of my soul.
And here is another tune I love:
Chorus
It is the cry of my heart to follow You.
It is the cry of my heart to be close to You.
It is the cry of my heart to follow
All of the days of my life.
1. Teach me Your holy ways, oh Lord,
So I can walk in Your truth.
Teach me Your holy ways oh Lord,
And make me wholly devoted to You.
Oh, oh, oh!
Chorus
2. Open my eyes so I can see
The wonderful things that You do.
Open my heart of more and more,
And make me wholly devoted to You.
Oh, oh, oh!
Chorus
Here's one that's really awesome!
You are my All in All
You are my strength when I am weak
You are the treasure that I seek
You are my all in all
Seeking You as a precious jewel
Lord, to give up I'd be a fool
You are my all in all
CHORUS
Jesus, Lamb of God
Worthy is Your name (2x)
Taking my sin, my cross, my shame
Rising again I bless your name
You are my all in all
When I fall down, You pick me up
When I am dry, You fill my cup
You are my all in all
(CHORUS)
Pretty cool, huh?
Were you singing along? I was : )
Here's a poem my friend Becky gave me that I like.
I hope to have some more songs up here soon, and perhaps type up some more poems I've got.
Or, if you have something you'd like to share, send it along.
