This Page was made to point out things you might not know. Like similarities in songs, Comments from people concerning Nirvana, and other stuff.

The first is one that some Kids in the Hall fans might have noticed. On the last Episode of The Kids in the Hall, in the Buddy Cole Sketch, there is the picture of a young Kurt Cobain on the Bar. Here is the explaination. It is taken from a 1996 interview with Scott Thompson, done by Gary Morris. You can find the whole interview at http://wwwvms.utexas.edu/~barbcarr/scott.html. Or go to Scott Thompson's Web Page at http://www.scottland.com.

GM: In the final Buddy Cole skit there was a picture of Kurt Cobain as a child. What was the significance of that?

ST: There's no real significance. That picture was given to me by Kurt's management in Seattle the day of the vigil. We were on tour and we ended up at the vigil the day that we were to perform in Seattle. And a lot of people spotted us there. And some of his management people came and said, "We know you were fans and Kurt spoke about you a number of times and we want you to have this photo." So I kept that photo. It was a very treasured photo because I'd met Kurt and--I really loved Nirvana, and meeting Kurt Cobain was truly one of the highlights. So that picture--I kept it when we toured. I don't know why I put it in the bar. I wasn't implying anything about Kurt.

GM: It made sense in terms of it being in the last episode.

ST: Yeah, and I always felt in some ways the Kids in the Hall was kind of like the laugh track for alternative music, and I knew we were going to burn the bar, and Buddy was feeling very nihilistic, and I just kind of wanted him to burn with it. I don't know why--maybe it was a Buddhist thing, because I knew Courtney was having a hell of a time keeping his ashes in the urn.

As I was listening to Lounge Act I noticed again that the song starts off with Kurt's "Uggggghhhhh". I have not noticed any other pages that have anything about it. It is in 3 songs for what i know there could be more out there but i haven't heard them or noticed them. So the three songs are. The first comes at the beginging of "Lounge Act" from "Nevermind" like i mentioned, this would be the first one recorded and put on an album. The second would be at the begining of "All Apologies" from "In Utero". The Second one is not like the others in that it is in the song twice, it is a lot more noticable, and that it is on a single and not an album. It is from the Rare Song "Moist Vagina" off the "All Apologies/Rape Me" Single. I have put sounds of them all on this page it is in .WAV format.

Begining of Lounge Act

Begining of All Apologies

Begining of Moist Vagina

End of Moist Vagina

If you know of anymore info on this mysterious Ugggghhhh... please send me information.

The Next is the Special Thanks Section on In Utero. In there the band has Andy Kaufman. Just thought i would point that out to people who didn't notice. Go to The Andy Kaufman Web Page for more info on the great Comedian.
