The End Of An Era
No, No, the Foo Fighters are alive and well. Don't worry.
I started this website in May of 1997, making it one of the oldest updated
Foo Pages on the Internet.
It may not have been the best Foo Page.
When I first started this page, it was the same as any old hack job, complete with the usual

Don't get me wrong,
Firstly, my lack of HTML savvy has hindered the growth of my page.
If you look at a large number of the Foo Pages out there,
I never ran the site for profit.
To all of you who have visited my page in the past four years,
May the Foo be with You.

jonholio's Foo Page, however, has bit the dust.
Well, it was, until now.
Hell, I barely know any HTML.
I don't know Java or Flash or any of that assorted crap.
And while this page may not have been the most pleasing to the eye,
I think it's fair to say that I produced a pretty original and informative effort.
Pictures, Links, News and a Webring, all of which were ripped straight from other people's pages.
But gradually, I shifted from that and did my best to bring a more original format to my site.

(Including cover tunes and other songs which the individual Foos wrote and/or performed on)

* My Acclaimed, and Often-Copied, Foo Biographies of each individual Foo.
I really appreciated the nice E-mails and Guestbook entries that some people left for me.
For the most part, it made my hard work worthwhile.
However, several factors have lead me to close my page.
Secondly, I am a University Student and I have a job, so I have little spare time.
Thirdly, I've been doing it for four years, and that's an awfully long time.
Finally, despite the kindness of some towards me, I have encountered far too many instances of people stealing stuff from my page, and not bothering to ask me for permission, or even crediting me for my hard work.
You will find some of my lyrics, and more importantly,
You will find information from my Foo Bios, or the Bios themselves copied and pasted.
In actual fact, I never saw a cent from it, nor did I ever get any perks from it, such as meeting the band.
But I didn't do it for money, or fame.
I just did it because it WAS just a fun little hobby.
But it's no fun anymore when people just steal your hard work. 4 fucking years of it.
So that's why I'm stopping.
That, and it's just not fun anymore.
