An angel set his pace

Reading Festival was a real wild thing. The Five-Piece Band passed thru it without much troubles, and even without Birttany. Jonathan Beston did his part very well ( some might say better than the former bass player ), and nobody complained of the songs performed. On the other hand - everybody had to say that it was the best show in miles around.

And, meanwhile that, something was on the air for Eleanor and Beston. Deny it was impossible, pretend that you couldn't see too. He spent most part of the night on her room, and during all day he was there at her side. Love? Couldn't really be - they didn't show it for sure. Beston was always that shy man and Eleanor...well, she knew how to play the game of the press very well. She wouldn't confirm it, but on the other hand wouldn't deny it.

She was very glad that she had found someone new. Even though she knew it would not last. Beston was too shy towards her, in all the ways. But he was good to be with.

And there was Hari, again in his mind games. Or better yet, mind fights. The mind of an angel is always full of that, but that time, he was having serious troubles. He still loved Eleanor. Actually, he never stopped loving her, he had just stepped back and let the destiny be, when James vowed his love, despaired because Eleanor would never look at him as long as Hari was there.

And now, that Beston! Something in him wasn't right. Just like Liam Montgomery, once upon many yesterdays ago. He felt the shadows in his eyes, and avoided a tragedy in time. But now he had his hands tied for the love he should never feel. He was so angry and confused ( and tired, because part of his 'lifetime' was with Rhapsody ) that he couldn't see straight.

He was beginning to doubt of the gift of life. Love was beginning to be a thorn to him.

"Hey, Hari! Beetle Daydreamer, wake the hell up!"

Hari opened up his eyes. It was Mary.
"Hey, don't wake me... I was only sleeping."
"Sorry, Hari. But it's that we have to pack our things and go. London is a-waiting, guy!"
"Relly?", he sighed.
"Man, you should see a doctor. You look awful!"
"Mary, I know I look awful, there is a mirror on the room. It's just that I had forgotten what it is to tour and play on stages every night."
"So I see. Hey Hari, tell me one thing. What do you think of this Beston?"
"Why are you asking me?"
"For nothing really. They've been quite a time together, Eleanor and he."
"She's a free woman, let she screw whoever she wants!"
"Awgh, Hari, you are a dirty rat when you want to! Thing is, fellow, she's getting head over heels with this guy. And what if dumps Britty to keep him in the band? That can happen, you see."

Hari looked up, to the sky. Oh no. That didn't cross his mind. Heavenly Man! What if she's right?

Only time can give the answer.

Grr! Speak in Plain English! Listen, Lord, I can't hold this anymore. I got to get some help or decidedly I will go nuts!

Well. I will send the help. Your partner would be jealous of it.

Winston looked subdued. Then the penny dropped. Few weeks ago, a time before they went to Reading, Linda McCartney had died, somewhere in the USA ( not even him, that as an angel, could know where ). He remembered everybody's faces on that morning, remembering, as if it happened yesterday, the day she entered with their 'boss' on the backstage, to congratulate them for the show on the Submarine.

And now she'd be helping them

Is she really needing to come back?
She doesn't have any troubles to solve in Earth, unlike you. Exactly for that I am sending her. But, unlike you, she won't be seen by no-one. I can't give her a human body.
Why not?
Because her time on Earth is over. Yours not. Wait and time will bring her.

"Hari!"

He woke up again.

"Alright, Mary, I am going!"
