April 2008

  • After 10 years away from the stage, Scott, Allan, Rose, and Jim reunited to play one last show opening up for fellow brothers in METAL Superchrist. Members of Witch Doctor, Pharoah, Superchrist, and others helped the guys and girl of Edenrot play over an hour worth of material. The night was video taped and the song "Plague of One" can be seen on the media page. I also loaded 3 older videos as well. Enjoy!

    May 2004

  • I have put new MP3s of older songs up for anyone to download. The two new songs are "Crusader" taken rom Ashes of Forever, and "...Where Anger Breathes" taken from The Land Where the Crow Starves.

    June 2003

  • This is for anyone who might still be interested in Edenrot. To be honest, absolutely no progress has been made on the new album since August 2002. We would still like to release it, but WHEN is a ultimate question. Unfortunately the three of us are busy with life and I see no possibility of the album coming out anytime soon.

    June 2003

  • Here is the list of songs for the new album. Songs 4 - 10 are working titles.

    1. Idles (complete)
    2. Stained Glass Eyes (complete)
    3. March of Nerves (complete)
    4. Fast Song (music complete, needs lyrics)
    5. Creepy Song (music complete, needs lyrics)
    6. Rokk in G (music complete, needs lyrics)
    7. Spanish (music complete, needs lyrics)
    8. Space Thrash (half of music written, needs lyrics)
    9. MD Slow B (3/4 of music written, needs lyrics)
    10. Waltz (only main riff written, needs everything else)

    August 2002

  • Once again things did not go as planned. We had hoped to have the new songs recorded before now but that didn't pan out. Scott has now moved out of state and things are a little more complicated. We still plan on recording the new songs but it's going to take a little longer than expected.

    June 2002

  • The drums are programed for the two songs which we are about to record. Guitars will start within the next couple of weeks.

    May 2002

  • Allan and Scott have decided to record two songs to send out to labels. The recording will be done over the months of June, July, and August. The two songs picked were "March of Nerves" and the yet untitled "Fast Song."

    April 2002

  • Another weekend with some great progress. Scott and Allan demoed the first two minutes of a new song tentatively called Space Thrash. While it's too early to tell, the guys have a good feeling that Space Thrash will be one of the stand out tracks.

    March 2002

  • Another exausting weekend, but progress was made. Scott and Allan almost crashed Allan's computer while finishing up the music for Rokk in G. A middle section with bass and guitar solos took up both days to write and record.

    February 2002

  • After getting together for the past three weekends in a row, Scott and Allan have finished the "Creepy" song and have 3/4 of a new song done which is tentatively called "ROKK IN G!" The only thing left musically to write on this song is a middle breakdown section.

    January 2002

  • It's been a long time coming and finally it's here. It might have taken us three years but the sound clips page is up and running! There you will find Idles and Stained Glass Eyes, both of which appeared on the Demo 99 tape and will also be featured on the up-coming album.
  • Finally some serious writing has begun! The new year has brought renewed drive to Edenrot and the inspiration is flowing. Keep checking back because new stuff will be happening fast.

    August 2001

  • In her quest for brilliance, Rose has now begun Law school in Louisiana. This means that Scott and Allan are basically left on their own to finish the new album.

    July 2001

  • Allan had a BIG disappointment this month. An established band from Maryland asked him to go on tour with them because their bassist would be unable to make it. The tour was a six band package that would go all over the States and play a couple dates in Canada. It was going to last the whole month of July but Allan would only play the first two weeks. After that, another guy was going to finish out the rest of the tour. Allan went through the hassle of getting off of work, fixing his car to make the trip to Maryland, buying a bass, and learning some of the songs. Then two weeks before they were scheduled to go out, he got the message that the band was kicked off the tour and replaced by another band. It seems that a label made a better offer to the concert promoter so that their band would have the slot on the tour. In the end, the only thing that could be done was to accept the dissappointment. The company that put the tour together was Digger International. I ask you, if anyone comes in contact with any of the people from this company, could you please kick their ass for Allan. He would greatly appreciate it.

    June 2001

  • Writing of the new album has been slow, but the music which has been written so far has us really excited. Here is what we got:
(1 and 2) We have "Idles" and "Stained Glass Eyes" which appeared on the Demo 99 cassette.
    (3) We have a song tentatively called "March of Nerves" which was suppose to have been recorded at the same time the other two Demo songs were recorded, but we ran out of time. This song is fast with extremely hard guitar riffs and some seriously complex arrangements.
    (4) Another new song, which was recorded on the four track, is done but the arrangements are still being toiled over. No lyrics for this song as of yet.
    (5) The first song completed using the new software we got in January. This song is fast with the riffs containing a lot of notes and quick guitar work. It was finished sometime during the first couple weeks of June.
    (6) We have a solid base for a song which we call "The Creepy Song", for it's eerie intro. "Creepy Song" is just a tentative name until we write some lyrics for it.
(7 - ?) There is also two or three more songs which have good riffs or parts to them, but not much of anything else. Will keep you updated as it happens.

    April 2001

  • New interviews posted in the interview section.

    January 2001

  • Scott and Allan have just acquired new recording software which they hope will speed up the writing process. Now all they have to do is get off their asses and start kicking out some new tunes!

    December 2000

  • In related news, a local video director has just released his latest movie, Evil Tales 2. The movie features an Edenrot song from the "Ashes of Forever" CD. For more info, check out 4th Floor Pictures.

    September 2000

  • New Studio Pics page is up

    JULY 2000

  • The "Maiden America" comp is still selling well. We've gotten our hands on some more "Land Where the Crow Starves" discs from Twilight, so anyone that's interested can get in contact with us for discount pricing.

    MAY 2000

  • Edenrot has taken part in an underground comp called Tortured At The Speed of Sound, Vol 3. The comp has 24 bands on it and is done in complete underground style, right down to the recorded Maxell tape and the photocopied inlay. "Idles" is the song we contributed. Anyone interested in picking this up can send $3 to

    JANUARY 2000

  • I thought I sould say a little something about what we are doing with this recording. This demo is not for sale. Edenrot has never been a demo band and we have no intentions of starting now. However, for any one who might be interested in hearing the new material, you can send a blank tape and $1(US), $2(World) for return postage, and we will gladly record it for you. "Idles" and "Stained Glass Eyes" will most likely appear on a future release, but until then this is the only way you'll hear them. As always, email us (Contact page) if you want copies of our earlier CDs. METAL!!!!!
  • The "Demo '99" tapes are finished and the promo packs are finally in the mail.
  • After two or so years of having the same boring website, our new page has now taken form. Scott summed up how we were all feeling about it when he said: "Now I don't feel ashamed to give out our website address anymore!"

    OCTOBER 1999

  • The two new songs turned out extremely well. As far as I can tell everyone is happy with them.

    SEPTEMBER 1999

  • Studio time has been set for September 25th. Hopefully if all goes well we will be done with everything that day. All that is left is a few guitar melodies and solos, vocals, and mix.
  • Now with 2/3 of the band back in college, Edenrot are working on lyrics for the two new songs which were recorded in August.

    AUGUST 1999

  • Recording didn't go as well as planned. Problems in the studio mounted and forced the band to put off the recording of the third song. As of right now the first two songs are still unfinished and will need more studio time in order to be completed.
  • The band will go into the same studio which did the Maiden America tracks to record a three-song demo on the 16th & 17th of this month. Dawnbringer's "The Hammer" has kindly offered his services to do the drums.
  • JULY 1999

  • The band works to prepare three songs for an August recording date. Scott has spent many, many hours programming a drum machine and recording the songs on a 4-track to be sent to who ever will be doing the drums for the recording.
  • JUNE 1999

  • Drummer James Boroi is no longer in the band. Everyone agreed that Jim's talent was not up to the point where he could record the new songs effectively. All four of us are still friends and there is no bad blood between anyone.
  • MAY 1999

  • Bassist Rose Mraz returns from Spain. Work has arleady started on new material and hopefully Edenrot will be able to play a few shows before college resumes.
  • APRIL 1999

  • Only a month and a half to two months later and Maiden America is almost sold out of the first pressing of 1,000 CDs.

    MARCH 1999

  • Maiden America is unleashed upon the world! Killer artwork! (which was done by Chris Cooper, the man responsible for all the Word of Mouth covers, plus Edenrot's "The Land Where the Crow Staves" and Dawnbringer's "Unbleed" covers) Many impressive bands like Omen, Sadus, Dawnbringer, and Sculptured. The release as a whole is definitely better then I thought it would be. A big hand goes out to Chris Maycock.

    JANUARY 1999

  • After much discussion we have decided to go back into the studio and redo the vocals on the Maiden track. We feel it's important to make these two songs be the best thing that we have ever done and that means going back in and redoing vocals that came off weak and unprofessional.
  • Due to a juicy scholarship that she just got, Rose will be leaving this month for Spain. A nice little gift that goes along with her major. Edenrot will be taken it easy for the next couple of months while she is away. A much needed rest from our not so strenuous band activity.

    DECEMBER 1998

  • Edenrot plays it's hometown once again. This time was different though because Scott was in New York City seeing Helloween. Edenrot played as a three piece for the first time in it's existence and only had two major screw ups because of it. Aaron Weinkauf, a friend of the band and also the man who played the solo on Edenrot's Maiden cover, came up on stage and filled in the missing guitar on Dead Skin Mask, Hallowed By Thy Name, and Crosses of Ice. NOTE:Scott is a dedicated member of the band and the only reason Edenrot played is because Allan agreed to do the show anyway knowing full well Scott wasn't going to be there. St Marys' music scene has dwingled down to nothing and all of Edenrot knew that the show was going to be a bust, which it was. Everyone who was there had fun though and that's what counts.

    OCTOBER 1998

  • Edenrot does a stellar performance for about 15 people at the Penny Arcade in Rochester, NY. Along with three horrible bands we played with ...And Here I Lie and a band that has members from Thorns of The Carrion.

    AUGUST 1998

  • Show at Phantasmagoria in Maryland. Winterlong(a band Scott sings for), Edenrot, 40 Days Longing, and Garden of Shadows

    JULY 1998

  • We will be part of an Iron Maiden Tribute that Twilight Records will be putting out. We have decided to do Hallowed By Thy Name and a new original called Aries Shield. Recording will take place on the 6th and 7th of this month.
