Welcome to
Cooders'
Wicked Wasteland
.
.
.
What
do you get when you take a group of people, load them with alcohol,
and tell them to drag a keg one mile, up hill, in zero degree weather,
to a cabin with no heat, no running water, and no facilities?
You
get ONE HELL OF A GOOD TIME!
(This is only a temporary version of the Wicked Wasteland)
Please
keep a close eye on this site. Pictures will be posted in a couple
weeks.
This is
the story of a group of hard core alcoholics who roam religiously into
the woods of New Hampshire for a snow filled, alcohol induced weekend each
March. In most cases, the trek starts at the base of the hill around
10:00pm, and concludes at the cabin between 11pm and 12am (depending on
the amount of snow and amount of beer we have in our systems!).
Arriving
at the cabin, it tends to be about 10-15 degrees colder inside than it
is out, and the only heat source in this un-winterized cabin is a small
wood burning stove.
After
tapping the keg, we proceed to get the fire rolling, and about four hours
later, the temp in the cabin raises to about 55-60 degrees. Of course,
by this time, most of us could really care less.
