The Singles

I Want You

The first single released, I Want You, went Platinum (Gold in the US) and spent 15 weeks on the charts. 10 of the weeks, the song was positioned in the top 10. It peaked at #3 on the AMR (Austrailian Music Report), #4 on the ARIA chart, and #1 on both Rick Dees Top 40, and Casey's Top 40 in the US!
After only two weeks, I Want You was nominated for the ARIA award for "Best Debut Single", and was also the highest selling Australian single for 1996.

To the Moon and Back

This was the first song Darren and Daniel wrote together. It was inspired by the life of a mutual friend. This is also the song that probably was the reason they got the contract.
The ending part was done by members of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

Truly Madly Deeply

This song is being called "a love song distilled from the purity of the heart," It reached #1 status where it stayed for 8 weeks. Those were 8 historic weeks, because the album was also at #1. This is the first time that a single and the album were #1 at the same time when the album was a debut album.
On May 31, Truly Madly Deeply lost it's #1 reign as it dropped 1 spot to #2, where it still is. Savage Garden has a lot to be proud of.

Break Me Shake Me

I don't know much about this single, because I live in the US, but this is what I do know. It was released on June 16, and was already in the Top 10. If this isn't right e-mail me here

If you know where I can find a place to listen to "Mine", please e-mail me. I live in the US, so it's not on the album, and I want to here it.
