Like I've said before, Oasis, simply is, the best band in the world.  Now of course this is just my opinion, but hey, c'mon, who else is up there?  The title is theirs!!!  And it forever will be in the hearts of their fans.

Just a quick background bio on the band here to make sure you're up to date:

- began as 'The Rain' with members Bonehead, Guigsy, Tony McCarroll, and singer Chris Hutton

- Liam joined, replaced Chris, and changed the name to 'Oasis' (much better, don'tcha think?)

- Noel at the time was a roadie for the band Inspiral Carpets and came to see his brother's band play.  He wasn't particularly impressed with their performance, but he saw some promise in them and told them that if they wanted to be big, they would let him join as lead guitarist and write all their songs.  Although they were sceptical at first, after hearing 'Live Forever' they quickly agreed.

- On May 31st, 1993 they played a show at 'King Tut's Wah Wah Hut' in Glasgow, Scotland where they were seen by Creation Records head, Alan McGee, who promptly signed them to a six-album deal

- August 30, 1994 they released their debut album 'Definitely Maybe' which would become the fastest selling debut album of all time and earn a spot in the Guinness Book Of World Records!

- On April 30, 1995 Oasis 'released' drummer Tony McCarroll of his duties and on May 2, 1995 hired Alan White as a replacement

- October 2nd, 1995 they released their second album '(What's The Story) Morning Glory?' which has become their most successful album yet

- August 21st, 1997 they released their 3rd album 'Be Here Now'

So, there's a brief summary for ya!  And remember, in between all of this there have been 12 singles released, millions and millions of albums sold, hundreds of sold-out shows performed (including 2 nights at Knebworth, performing to 125,000 people each night!), tours have been called off, all band members have gotten married, some have had kids, and hundreds of magazine and tabloid covers have been made!  And needless to say, the music?  It's getting better man.......... =)
