Discussing the phone calls to the White House Bono makes every night from the Zoo TV stage, interviewer Dave Herman suggests Bono tries calling during the radio show.  When he calls, the White House operator recognizes him and hangs up before he can leave a message.  Dave Herman suggests that Bono may have better luck calling Democratic presidential candidate Bill Clinton.  A few minutes later, Clinton calls the show. Though all parties act surprised, it is later revealed that the whole idea was Clinton's and inspired by Bono's calls to the White House.
