After the Show!
Ok here's where I gotta note: My camera broke- the flash stopped working! So the following pics are horrible quality!
I went back to the hotel and the guys arrived shortly after
via van. I went to the bar to wait for them to come back down
which they did.
I had a great time in the bar- Malvin said no pics or autographs
in the bar so I just stood at one end of the bar trying to get
drink. (Which took forever).
When the bar girl FINALLY took my order (I had had 1 drink before
they got there) I ordered the same thing but as she walked off I
yelled to her- "um, a little more vodka this time please!"
(I had a Cape Cod) and I looked up and Joe (who was a barstool
away next to Malvin) was smiling at me. I was like oh geesh did I
do something dumb?? LOL.
There was a no smoking policy in the bar so before the guys got
there we had to go out side – there was a little entrance
way near the bar that was secluded and stuff. Joe defiantly lit
up in the bar anyways. He was gonna smoke no matter where he was
damn it. LOL. Phil was the first to leave- I caught him on his
way out. He signed my Slang CD for me and I talked to him for a
few min- very very nice guy. : )
Sav obeyed the rules- he went outside to smoke like the rest of us. So my friends and I went outside to have a cigarette with Sav. Some guy came out just to talk to Sav (who looked relived when I interrupted to ask him to sign my Slang CD) and then we had a picture together:
The photo shop salvaged this for me! It's not great but it's better than nothing!!
I was trying to talk to him but my voice was almost gone- it kept cracking. I said "I'm sorry my voice is almost gone from yelling for you guys the last 2 nights" and he said "YOUR voice is gone.." LOL!!! Then I told him (musta been the vodka that put me at easy enough to say this) that they are my inspiration to get up and go on w/ it everyday and that their music means a lot to me and thank you. And he said it means a lot to them too. Then he went back inside- not that I can blame him it was chilly- about 68 degrees.
I was surprised Rick came down to the bar- he went in to talk to the guys and then he went and sat in a chair in the lobby. I went over and he signed my CD and I got a pic with him too. He didn't talk too much he was real quiet. He went over to sit on this wall next to Malvin for awhile but left soon afterwards. He signed and posed for pics and was very gracious :)
Viv was in the lobby talking to some people and one asked him if heard some CD and he said no we don't have a CD player on tour. And that's when I said well do you have a tape player? And he turned to look at me and I said because I was wondering if you listened to the tape I gave you at StoryTellers. Viv was like oh yes I remember you! (very cool!!!) and he said he didn't listen to it but he gave it to Joe. I was like ah ok I thought it was weird and all (the problems on my Euphoria tape) like that hysteria tape I have that had Bon Jovi's New Jersey in it. Viv laughed and said "Yeah that's the album he WISHES he recorded!" LMAO!!!! Someone on the other side of him asked him something so I went back to the bar.
Soon after Joe left the bar and I somehow managed to tell Joe I work in a factory and I hate it and they are the reason I get up and go to work everyday. He goes "Well we have something in common then. What do you do?" So I told him we make metal and ceramic balls. His eyes got real wide and he goes "Thank god I don't need any of those!!" ROTFLMAO!!!!!!! Too funny. I wish I had a picture of the look on his face when he said that! LMAO. I got a pic with Joe and he signed my Slang CD and we talked about Slang briefly.
Agh! I wish this came out better- Joe looks PERFECT!! (Notice Sav on my right?)
At this point I talked to some of my friends who where there (I knew more people than I had time to talk to and it was great meeting new people and seeing old friends!)
Anyhow Joe wandered into the lobby and stuff and I went up to him and said, May I ask you a question and asked about the Euphoria tape. Joe and I had a long talk about it – BTW those are NOT handclaps they're clicks. I told Joe about my Hysteria/Bon Jovi tape and he burst out laughing. I talked to Joe some more and then he excused himself . He said his mom was sick and she's 68 yrs old so he was going to go call home. So then he goes goodnight everyone and we're all going Bye Joe! And he gets half way to the elevators and turns around and yells "Hey Malvin!" (Mal is sitting on a wall behind most of us) and when Mal looks up Joe says "Fuck off!" and leaves. But he said it with this big grin on his face so I'm sure he was kidding.
At this point, Viv was in a chair in the bar area. So I decided to ask him to sign my CD because everyone else had and I wanted all the sigs in one spot. So I went in and sat in the chair next to him. Here's my first pic with Viv:
Somehow jobs came up again and he told me he hates his job too. LMAO. Then he goes, "Only kidding I feel very privileged to be doing what I do." He was just so nice. He excused him self to go to the mens room and I decided it was time to go.

I went to talk to Malvin and he signed my CD too. He noticed that I had a Japanese copy of Slang. He was trying to finish rounding up the last of the boys- Viv. But he finally got disgusted and gave up. He said "I'm not responsible for his debauchery!" So Mal, me, a girl who came from Japan (didn't speak a lot of English but she was very nice) and her friend got on the elevator. They got off and I continued on up to my room and thus ended the coolest evening of my life!

Someone took off with my Sharpie so thats why Sav's sig is in pen darn it!
