Name...Matthew Christopher
Carlton
Date of Birth...September
17th, 1978
Place of Birth...Pottsville,
Pennsylvania
High School Graduated...Blue
Mountain High School, Schuylkill Haven, PA, 1996
Current Job...U.S. Marine,
stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C. Saxophone player in the Second Marine Division
Band.
And now is where I start talking about my "less technical side"...
Marital Status...Single,
so very, very single, but always looking.
Aspirations in Life...Get
out of the Marines and attend college (Penn St., Univ. of Maryland, Indiana
Univ. of PA...who knows), major in Music Education and become a high school
band director. Hopefully landing a job near home. Also want to pursue my
singing/songwriting more.
What does Matt Carlton like?...I
like just about anything that will make me laugh, along with making others
laugh. I really enjoy just talking to people. I like sports...especially
hockey. I love playing the piano and learning new instruments (I am currently
trying to conquer the guitar) and I love writing my own music. I'm a huge
Elton John fan and really just a big music fan. I have about 200 cd's and
almost 75 records (yes, records...they sound better). I like reading books,
such as Sci-fi/Fantasy and Comedy books. The monorail is also very cool...ask
Gen Chawluk or Tom Mansell
What does Matt Carlton dislike?...Dumb
people. I mean people who are intentionally dumb. You know who they are.
ATM's are extremely complex to these people. I dislike people who try to
hard to get people to notice them. Just be yourself!!! I don't like people
who are fake as well. People who put on a different face for different
people. People who can't tell me the truth and whom are not straight forward.
Linoleum scares me. I HATE SCORPIONS!!!
Role Models...I want
to play piano like Elton John. I want to be a good parent like my mom and
step-dad, who have supported me through everything I have done. I'd like
to be a great hockey player like Bobby Orr or Ray Bourque, but that would
take a long time! I want to be an exceptional music teacher like my former
high school band director, who has taught me how to deal with almost any
situation and how to love your job through thick and thin.
Favorite Musicians...Elton
John, Billy Joel, Ben Folds Five, Van Halen, Queen, The Who, Journey, Creedence
Clearwater Revival, John Fogerty, Beethoven, Percy Grainger, Chopin, Mozart,
J.S. Bach and his illegitimate son P.D.Q. Bach
Favorite Atheletes...John
LeClair, Eric Lindros, Bobby Clarke, Bobby Orr, Ray Bourque, Roger Clemens,
Mike Schmidt, Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, and once the Philadelphia Eagles
get good I'll have a favorite player.
Favorite TV Shows...Definetly,
100% the Simpsons, South Park, That 70's Show, Drew Carey Show, Mystery
Science Theatre 3000, Friends, and this might sound lame...but TGIF will
always and forever be a part of my Friday nights until I get a life. LONG
LIVE ALF!
