THE BAND THE DEMO HEAR CONTACT
The Low Down...
Basically, I saw a review of their demo in Metal Hammer and I had to get their demo.
Not expecting anything for free (!) I sent them System of a Down's demo, because the review made it sound like they would go nicely together.
Also, System were above them in the "Check 'Em Out" section, so I thought it may be appropriate.
That basically bring us up to speed. They sent me a copy of their demo on CD and a nice letter which included:
"It's nice to see that there are people like you over here that are into real music."
Damn right. I don't look like your average metaller, though. Which is cool, 'cos it confuses people!
THE BAND:
Dal (growler)
Kee (guitar)
"Toad" (low end)
Mark (beatings)
I hope you got that!
THE DEMO...
It's a fucking great demo. Nuff said.
Suppose I've got to do a review or you
won't bother finding out more about them, will you?

REVIEW
One of the first things that I noticed was - and I don't mean this in the way that it probably sounds - that they
are quite undecided in the direction that way want the songs to develop.
An example? Er, OK. Dal sounds as if he may want to rap some of the vocals, but at the same time he sound like he want to shout like no-one has ever shouted before.
I think that the song Inhuman is probably my instant favourite, probably because of the way it develops with it sung vocals (during the
chorus) and it's Life Is Peachy era Korn-esque harmonics.
If I was to try to label a band similarity to their primal brutal sound,
I suppose it would be a hybrid of Korn, Machine Head and Cynical Smile. With a little added extra...
This demo
could easily be the work of a band from California, which may put some of you off, but don't let it.
What sets them apart from those bands seems to be the fact
that they'd rather concentrate on the "metal" aspect of the music instead of getting a DJ and doing hip-hop metal.
I really do like Kee's use of guitar harmonics. They are very well placed and add that extra layer that some bands dearly need.
Almost Machine Head in the harmonics department.
