Disclaimer: I don’t own Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Joss Whedon, Fox,
the WB, Mutant Enemy...I hear some of those people have some rights, but
I don’t.
Author’s Notes: This is dedicated to Woodinat, my slave driver. She
pushed and pushed me to finish the story, ‘cause hey, she’s the
number one G/X ‘shipper. So, without her I never would have finished
it. Or started it for that matter. Oh, and guess what...it’s serious!
*gasp*
Xander walked in to the old Sunnydale High School library, the smell of old
musty books hitting him instantly. A smell that he used to dread, but now
a smell that he took with him, that inspired him when he wrote. He smiled
for a second, as he saw Giles doing what he usually did, reading a book.
Xander moved his stylish, lightweight, wire framed glasses up on his nose,
and straightened out his denim shirt.
“Ahh, you’re reading...’cause to read...” Xander began.
Giles looked up at him, surprised momentarily.
“Makes our speaking English good,” Giles finished the quote, and
smiled.
“I put it on all of my books,” Xander said, and approached the
desk, as Giles stood.
“I know you do.”
“You read my books? I didn’t figure you for a horror fan Giles,”
Xander said, and smiled. He stopped in front of him, once he’d reached
the desk.
Giles just smiled widely, and extended his hand in greeting.
Xander ignored the hand, and pulled Giles in to a hug, patting him on the
back a few times, and releasing.
Giles raised a surprised eyebrow, he never thought Xander as the type that
would be comfortable in giving other men hugs...but he never thought he’d
end up a writer either.
“That’s the way we all greet each other out there in Hollywood,”
Xander said, and sat down at the large oak table.
“Hollywood? I thought you were living in Nevada,” Giles said,
surprised. He sat down, across from him.
“Well, The Immortal Evil is being made in to a movie,” Xander
explained.
“Wow, that’s wonderful...you know, I really should ‘tsk’
you for writing a story that close to some of our very own
experiences.”
“Well, nobody thinks this is Autobiographical Giles, I’m sure they
think I’m just another young, cheesy Stephen King impersonator who got
lucky.”
“I really don’t think you imitate anybody Xander, your stories
are much more realistic than others, because you *know* the facts.”
“Oh, cool,” Xander said, and smiled.
“How long have you been in town Xander?”
“I just got here...this is the first place I came.”
“Well, where are you going to stay?”
“I was thinking The Sunnydale Motel would be my best bet...Buffy and
Joyce are out of the question...Willow and Oz...eeegh. I know, I could always
just stay with Spike and Drusilla, I’m sure they’d like having
me around,” Xander joked.
“That’s amusing Xander, really...w-why don’t you stay at my
house? It has a nice couch,” Giles offered.
Xander thought about it for a second, looking at Giles’ expression.
“I really don’t think that would be a great idea...My roomies have
complained that I’m always too...uh, in the way. I wouldn’t want
to be in the way.”
“No, it wouldn’t be a problem. The Sunnydale Motel is what you
Americans would refer to as a ‘flop house’.”
“All right...but only if you tell me where a good place to get lunch
would be...I’ve seen a great number of shops go up around here, any
of ‘em good?”
“Well, Layne’s has nice sandwiches, and a great assortment of
teas.”
“When did that open up?”
“After Oz graduated.”
“Huh?”
“Oz owns it, it’s his restaurant.”
“Man, I’ve really been kept out of the loop...what’s with
the ‘Layne’s’ Thing then?”
“That’s his first name Xander. It’s Layne Osmond. You didn’t
actually think Oz was his first, last, and only name did you?”
“Hmm, does he shed in to the food?”
“Xander, I really don’t think he makes sandwiches while a werewolf,
I don’t think the paws are coordinated enough,” Giles said, and
stood.
“Oooh, Giles made a joke...kind of. Wanna join me, I’m paying,”
Xander said and took his wallet out, he started waving it around.
“All right Xander, but only because I haven’t had any lunch yet,”
Giles said, Xander bowed him ahead in mock politeness, and they left the
library together.
When they got to the parking lot, Giles was a little surprised at Xander’s
choice of cars.
“It’s rather old...I’d figured a famous author like you would
get yourself a nice sports car or something,” Giles said, Xander unlocked
the door to his Chrysler.
“Well, I was gonna...but then I realized that everybody would think
that I was just compensating for a small penis...which would be an awful
lie,” Xander said, and grinned, getting in to the car, and reaching
over to unlock the passenger side door.
“Yes Xander...I just needed to hear that,” Giles said, and got
in to the car.
Once there, they both ordered something light and sat down, the worker there,
Mike, had told them it was Oz’s day off. Xander hid a relieved sigh.
They sat down at a small table in the back.
“So...Xander, has the house been sold yet?” Giles asked, treading
lightly.
“No, I haven’t really been looking in to it...you’d think
since I didn’t see my mom much when I was young...it wouldn’t make
a big difference if she died,” Xander said, and smiled nervously.
“I’m sorry I brought it up...You know Xander, you don’t have
to smile...or joke all of the time. It’s okay, you can feel bad,”
Giles said, understandingly.
“No. No, it’s not, it’s my fault...I shouldn’t have left
her like that,” Xander said, and looked down sadly.
“Xander...you couldn’t have known...you thought your mother was
getting better...it wasn’t your fault...you had college to
attend.”
“If I had been there...I would have seen the signs...and we would have
been able to prevent the relapse...it never would have gotten out of hand,”
Xander said, and looked up. His eyes had watered over.
Giles took his hand. He reached his other hand out, and brushed a wild strand
of hair out of Xander’s eyes gently. Xander looked in to Giles’
comforting eyes, and saw a true look of caring, that he hadn’t seen
for a long time...since he’d left Sunnydale even.
Giles looked down at Xander’s hands, which had many calluses, caused
by writing. He circled his thumb over the soft palm...
“Xander! Wow,” Oz said, as he entered the door, the bells attached
chiming. Giles pulled his hand away, as if he’d had it on a hot burner.
“Oz...Hey dude...have you gotten taller?” Xander said nervously,
as the strawberry blonde man approached.
“Funny Xander...I was nineteen last time you saw me...I don’t think
you grow after you’re nineteen.” Oz said, and smiled.
Xander stood up, and shook the hand that Oz had offered.
“So Xander...The Immortal Evil, that was a best seller...it’s even
gonna be a movie and all,” Oz said, and grinned.
“Oh, yeah well...nice restaurant.”
“Oh, thanks...Willow makes deserts and handles most of the money. It’s
a partnership thing.”
“Oh, well...that’s nice. How is she these days?”
“She’s great. Perfect. She’s Willow,” Oz said, with a
dreamy expression on his face.
“Oh, well...that’s weird, cause I thought she’d be...you know,
some one else...sorry, I’m not real good with the jokes today.”
“That’s a first. Oh, hey Giles, didn’t see you there,”
Oz said, and turned to Giles who was nervously sipping some tea.
“Oh good...I mean hello,” Giles said, and set his tea down.
“Giles comes in a lot, ’cause all the tea I think,” Oz said
to Xander.
“Yes...well, the lunch was great...but I really must be going now. I
should prolly check out all the old Sunnydale hot spots before night fall...I
hear you guys got another Starbucks,” Xander said, and got his tray,
with his sandwich that he’d hardly touched on it.
“Cool man, come on by later, I’m sure Willow will be thrilled to
see you.”
“Sure will,” Xander said, and threw the rest of his lunch out.
Giles downed the last of his still very hot tea, and threw his lunch out
also.
“Well Oz, I’ll see you another time...but I do have a job out there
at the library,” Giles said, and smiled.
“You two have a nice day,” Oz called out to them, as they both
left together.
Once Oz was sure they were gone, he turned to Mike.
“What the hell was that all about?”
Mike shrugged.
__________________________________________________________________
Xander sighed, as he walked by the Bronze, the last place on his new tour
of Sunnydale. Tons of kids were teeming around it...it was like a den. He
saw a boy, about seventeen, flailing his arms around wildly, a chocolate
bar in his mouth.
“That was me ten years ago,” Xander said, amused.
Xander looked up at the sky, and realized the sun would be going down soon,
bad idea to be out alone in Sunnydale at night. Xander turned around and
headed for the park, where he had parked his car. Xander took one last look
at the still crowded Bronze, and broke in to a small trot for the park.
Xander was in his car within five minutes, and speeding towards Giles’
home.
Xander took a wrong turn, and missed Giles’ house the first time, but
he recovered and was there quickly enough.
Xander saw a bronze light on in the living room, and struggled whether or
not to knock or just come in. He knocked while he came in. Giles looked up
from the book he was reading, his Oxford shirt looked wrinkled, and the top
two buttons were undone, showing a small square of his hairy chest. The sleeves
were rolled up, revealing the tattoo, the Mark of Eyghon.
“You never got that removed?” Xander asked, motioning towards the
tattoo.
“Well...I would have, but there were so many things that kept me from
doing...the demon is dead, the only problems the tattoo brings anymore is
with my appearance.”
“Okay, so...How was your day?” Xander said, moving further in to
the living room, and choosing a seat in a burgundy leather chair.
“Well, after lunch I came straight home...with Buffy away on vacation
I haven’t had much work of any kind to do.”
“Of course, Buffy would leave just when I was coming to town.”
“Well Xander, no one knew you were coming...I was fairly surprised myself
when I saw you.”
“Yeah...I visited Willow and Oz for a while, Willow looks great. Oz,
Oz was just acting kind of weird.”
“Willow’s great...Oz too. They both still help out from time to
time.”
“Yeah, well...Willow is just great, period.”
“Yes. Um, did you, did you eat?”
“No, I didn’t have time...I think that hearty lunch I had filled
me up,” Xander said and smiled.
“I could make something...pasta perhaps?” Giles offered, and crossed
his legs. Xander noticed Giles’ casual, but nice, black suede shoes.
“You cook?”
“Well, I don’t care much for take-out, so I sort of have to know
how to cook...if I want to eat,” Giles said and smiled.
“I don’t want to be any trouble...” Xander protested.
“Nonsense...I haven’t had my dinner, and consequently...I do want
to eat.”
“Well...only because you insist,” Xander said, and smiled lamely.
Giles marked his book, and set it aside. He got up and walked to his kitchen,
where Xander heard the banging of pots momentarily, and the sound of running
water.
Xander got up, and went to peek at the book Giles had been reading. He turned
to the bookmarked page and started reading from the top.
The demon Ezelbroth only strikes with her five cohorts....the tip of her
powerful wing sends a painful, deadly shock through....
“Demon stuff, doesn’t he do any kind of recreational reading?”
Xander whispered under his breath, “powerful stinging wings...I can
use that.”
“Did you say something, Xander?” Giles asked, stepping in to the
living room, a dish towel draping over his shoulder. He had a light glow
of sweat from working over the hot stove.
“No, nothing,” Xander said, and stood up.
“If you’d like something to read, there’s...oh, wait...”
Giles began, he walked over to a large oak bookcase, and took a small, tightly
bound book off.
“What’s that?” Xander asked, and Giles brought it over to
him.
“Here...just read it,” Giles said, and handed it to Xander.
Xander looked down at the book, and turned the first page.
“Forrester?” Xander asked.
“Yes, I thought you might like it...well, you might if you’ve changed
any from high school,” Giles said and smiled, he walked back towards
the kitchen, unconsciously wiping his brow with the dish towel.
Xander sat back down in the leather chair, he started reading the book
uninterested, but it quickly caught his attention. What seemed like only
minutes after he’d gotten in to the book, Giles waked in to the living
room, announcing that dinner was ready.
“Already?” Xander asked, looking up from the book.
“It’s been thirty minutes since I gave you the book,” Giles
said and smiled.
Xander set the book down, and joined Giles in the dining room.
They dined quietly for a few minutes, and Xander looked up at Giles. He kept
thinking about lunch that afternoon. The tender way Giles looked in to his
eyes, and feel of his fingers stroking his palm. It was all so weird. Xander
suddenly shook all the thoughts out of his brain, and decided to go for friendly
chatter.
“So...the noodles are good, where’d you learn how to make them?”
Xander asked, as he stuffed a bite of the chicken flavored noodles in to
his mouth.
“Hmm, I was at the grocery store, and I bought one of those little box
of recipes...I think it actually was called ‘The Lil’ Box O'
Recipes’. Geared towards American bachelors with little wage...I believe
this recipe was entitled ‘Pasta La Vista, Baby’,” Giles said,
and smiled some what jocularly.
Xander chuckled silently, shaking his head.
“Oh, so I’m ‘baby’ now, terms of affection...that’s
sweet, schmoopy,” Xander said, still chuckling.
“It was a part of the recipe name, Xander,” Giles said, still
smiling.
“Oh, I know...but I can still dream, can’t I?” Xander made
puppy dog eyes at Giles, and batted his eyelashes.
They both chuckled a bit more, and it quieted down for a few minutes, while
they stuffed their faces...stuffing them politely of course, but stuffing
nonetheless.
“Mmm, nummifying... my old boyfriend, Jeff, he could cook real well,”
Xander said, and looked up at Giles for a response.
Giles raised an eyebrow momentarily.
“I’m sure you put that to good use...I mean, you might have changed
a lot from High School, but I imagine your love for food never dissipated...I
mean, you ate those noodles gladly, and most of the time, I find them almost
inedible,” Giles said, trying hard to be as casual as possible.
“But of course,” Xander said and took a sip of his red wine.
“Well, it’s been great catching up with you, but I’m afraid
I must retire to me bedroom for the night,” Giles said, and stood up.
Xander wiped his hands with his napkin, and stood up also. Giles began to
clear the dishes, and Xander helped him. After they were done, They both
made there way to the living room, and just as Giles was about to climb the
stairs to his room, Xander stopped him, placing his arm on Giles’ shoulder.
Giles turned around.
“Giles, I need to thank you for being so kind, letting me stay here
and all,” Xander said, his hand still planted on Giles’ shoulder.
“It’s nothing, just...” Giles began.
“No, it’s not. I mean, I came to Sunnydale for a sort of mini-vacation
from all the stress in LA. Isn’t that funny, a vacation on the Hellmouth.
It’s really been hectic for me in the last year, and the small things
that you’ve done that show you care today have been a great help,”
Xander said, and looked deep in to Giles’ eyes.
They stood there like that for a moment. Xander felt he was beginning to
get lost in Giles’ at the moment glasses-less eyes. Giles stared back,
eyes, and began to luxuriate in the feeling of the younger man’s hand
on his shoulder. Xander moved forward, and placed a light kiss on Giles’
lips, and without thought he returned it. Giles placed his hand on Xander’s
waist. They both leaned in more, deepening the kiss. Giles moved his hand
in to Xander’s hair, intertwining his fingers with the loose strands,
as Xander moved his free hand on to Giles’ waist.
The kiss broke off, but they still held on to each other.
"Xander..."
"Giles...wow." Xander leaned forward and kissed Giles again. This time their
tongue entered each other's mouth, exploring, feeling. If Xander needed a
root canal, Giles would know.
Xander’s hand began to work its way under Giles’ shirt, tugging
at it a bit. He helped Xander by untucking it from his slacks. Xander began
to feverishly undo the buttons, revealing more of Giles’ glorious chest
each second. After he had it completely unbuttoned, Xander threw the shirt
across the room, and it landed on one of the bookcases. Xander lowered his
head, and flicked his tongue across the older man’s nipple, and Giles
felt a pleasured shiver go down his spine.
Xander could feel Giles erection pressing in to his side, and his hand slowly
moved his hand in to Giles’ trousers and encircled his Big British Cock
(tm). Giles stifled a moan, and Xander grinned, beginning to undo the
Englishman’s pants.
Xander lead Giles to the couch as he worked at Giles’ belt, and pushed
him down on it when they got there. Giles raised his eyebrows slightly,
“Sorry, I’ve always wanted to do that.” Xander smiled slyly.
Xander kneeled down in front of the couch, where Giles was sitting with his
pants halfway down, which Xander quickly remedied by pulling them off the
rest of the way with much zeal. Giles kicked his shoes off as Xander tugged
down the white briefs that were keeping him from his destination. And what
destination it was. With Giles underwear thrown aside aimlessly, Xander was
faced with the wonder that is the Big British Cock (tm).
His eyes went wide momentarily, but he recovered quickly enough and was leaning
in to place small kisses on Giles’ softly haired thighs. Giles moaned,
this time not stifling it. Xander teasingly began to lick the inside of
Giles’ thighs, stopping every now and then to nibble on them. Xander
knew Giles was a patient man, but this would have been driving him crazy,
so he stopped teasing, and took the turgid tip of Giles’ cock in to
his mouth. Xander slowly began to run his mouth up and down the length of
the older man’s cock. Giles was holding on to Xander’s head, and
he bucked in to his mouth. Xander deepened his strokes, taking more of Giles
in to his mouth each time, until Giles’ was in Xander’s mouth to
the hilt. Xander could feel his new lover’s cock twitch against his
throat, and he began to suck more eagerly. He kept stroking Giles’ thighs,
as his rhythm sped up with Giles’ thrusting. Xander moved his hands
to behind Giles’ back, and held him closer. With the last slow stroke
Giles came, and Xander quickly swallowed the semen that began to flow down
his throat. Giles withdrew the quickly receding member, and Xander laid his
head on Giles’ lap, recovering.
Giles lightly traced lines down Xander’s bare back. Xander shivered
as Giles’ fingers traced along his spine.
Giles leaned down and kissed Xander’s ear ever-so-slightly, and slipped
his hand around to Xander’s front, holding on to his flat stomach. He
moved his hand down further, bypassing Xander’s very erect cock, to
stroke his muscular thighs, and down under his knee. Giles slipped his hand
over top, and rested his hand on Xander’s knee. He moved it just slightly,
and Xander laughed, flinching away.
“You’re ticklish on your knee?” Giles asked, amused, as he
traced around Xander’s sensitive knee.
“Yeah.” Xander turned his head around, looking up at Giles.
“When I was a teenager, they always said if you were ticklish on the
knee, you were boy crazy.”
Xander reached out and traced Giles lips with his fingers, then reached his
neck out, and captured the soft lips he would just trace with his own. He
sucked Giles’ bottom lip in to his mouth, and stood up, sitting right
back down on to the couch, by Giles.
Giles smiled deviantly, and grabbed on to Xander’s legs. Giles pulled
Xander’s legs under him, and lay his chest against Xander’s. “Do
you want me, Xander?”
Xander looked up at Giles’ smiling face with confusion. “Of course
I want you, Giles.”
“You really should be calling me Rupert, it is my given name.”
Xander captured Rupert’s mouth with his, kissing him softly. He withdrew
and licked his lips thoughtfully, “But you taste like Giles.”
Giles shook his head, and chuckled somewhat facetiously. He slipped his hands
down Xander’s waist and thigh, and encircled Xander’s cock. Xander
bucked against Giles’ hand, and he began to slide down Xander’s
body. Giles stopped, and started placing small kisses on Xander’s stomach.
Giles dipped his tongue in to his bellybutton, and then placed small kisses
around it.
Giles legs were hanging over the arms of the couch, as he was brought face
to face with Xander’s swelling cock. He slowly engulfed it, licking
the underside with a strange expertise. He began to massage Xander’s
balls as he licked and sucked slowly and hungrily. Giles concentrated on
the tip for a minute, teasingly kissing and licking it, until Xander
couldn’t take it, and he thrust his hips forward. Giles quickly engorged
the length of Xander’s cock, sucking with a zest that he’d thought
he’d lost twenty years ago. Giles grasped on to Xander’s firm ass,
and Xander laced his legs around Giles’ back as they adjusted with the
rhythm.
Xander grappled with a throw pillow as Giles’ head continued to bob
up and down on his soon-to-explode cock. He groaned throatily, and lay his
head back against the arm of the couch as he came down Giles throat. Giles
wasn’t completely ready, and some dripped on to his chin, and to his
chest from there.
They both lay there heads down tiredly against the couch, and began to
recuperate.
“Mmm, Giles, I’ve never had both noodles for dinner and desert,”
Xander commented.
Giles took a pillow from the floor, and threw it at Xander; it hit him in
the face. “I had to do it Xander, I couldn’t let you get away with
that comment.”
“It’s okay G-man, that’s what throw pillows were invented
for.” Giles threw another pillow at Xander, and he caught it. “What
was that for?”
“I told you to never call me that.”
Two Days And Many Interesting Sexual Encounters Later
“So, remember that you’re always welcome here...and who knows,
Buffy and Scott might be back next tie you visit,” Giles said, seeing
Xander off.
“Just remember, I top next time.” Xander threw his bag in the trunk
of his car.
Giles nodded, and said, sarcastically, “That’s going to happen.”
Xander just shook his head, and smiled at Giles affectionately, “You
no you can’t resist my manipulative powers, schmoopy.” He leaned
in and kissed Giles on the lips, softly.
“Bye, Xander.” Giles brushed a piece of Xander’s wild hair
out of his eyes, “See ya soon, babe.”
Xander got in his car, revved up the engine, and waved good-bye.
Giles watched somewhat sadly as Xander pulled out of his driveway, and then
off of his street. He smiled ruefully, and walked back into his house.
