Alf Bicknell
I had the pleasure of listening to Alf Bicknell speak about his time with the Beatles. He was a driver for them for a few years in the 1960s. He talked at a Beatles convention type thing that I went to.
He kept everyone entertained with stories ranging from driving the Beatles to meeting Paul's family.
I will not tell his stories here, since you can read them in his book, Ticket To Ride. I highly suggest getting it - it's full of great stories from someone who was there. :) It's one of my favorite books about the Beatles because it has all sorts of little stories in it. And he signed my copy, woo hoo! :)
Meeting Alf was so exciting. He is a charming man, and fun to listen to and talk to. Since it was close to John's birthday (as you can see from the pictures), he had a seperate talk about John, but unfortunately I had to miss it. I heard his talk about the Beatles, though, and it was fantastic. :)
