What do we really know about Buddy Holly
My opinion

WHAT DO WE REALLY KNOW ABOUT BUDDY HOLLY

What do we really know about Buddy Holly, besides he
was a singer from the 50's? I think a lot of people pretray
him as the "geek" that played him in the Buddy Holly
Story... Buddy was far from being a geek.. He was in his
day what we would consider "COOL". Buddy wore the
tappered pants and rode the motorcycle.......................
A lot of people remember his glasses, actually a comment
last night was made to me in a chat house about his thick
"Binnocular" glasses. Buddy wore his glasses with
confidence and much selfasteem. The glasses were his
trademark, even Elton John wears Buddy Holly "trade mark
glasses" Anytime I think of Buddy Holly I think of his
glasses. Most singers have something about them that you
may think of when you see or hear them. I think crucifix
when I hear Ritchie Valens. I think of Boppers dice
whenever I hear "Chantily Lace".
One night I was in a chat room and the topic was Moshing?
I asked what is moshing, and someone replied "Are you a
fricken Moran" I guess I could of said the samething to
them if I would of mentioned anything about Buddy Holly,I
merily told them I was not a kid and went on with my
                                  business.
I get comments on my Guest Book oh yeah! I like Buddy
Holly from the 60's. I think it is a little weird that most
people don't even know who Buddy Holly was or what type
of person he was. I have to remind myself that he has been
gone for 38 years. Most of this generation probley don't
even realize who Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens or the Big
Bopper is, unless they seen their movies which is based on
a lot of bull. I spoke to a man that was in his mid-fourtys
and he didn't know when or where the crash happened. I
am sure that there are people out there that don't even
                       know he exsisted or died.
I THINK THAT THE THREE MEN IN THAT CRASH MADE ROCK N ROLL, WITHOUT THEM
WE MIGHT NOT HAVE TODAYS MUSIC.
