TURNED AWAY
I turned into what I always was.
It shouldn't have been such a surprise.
But I still can't find the words to describe.
Feel like death but so alive.
Feel it burning on the inside.
Scorched soul and tortured mind.
Running through the veins like blood.
Red like hearts and darkened love.
Black behind a shining blue.
Lying eyes you can't see through.
Hope an endless shattered dream.
Things aren't always what they seem.
Hidden under worthless skin.
Beautiful world full of sin.
Broken up under a disguise.
Falling down in my own lies.
In just pieces still exist.
Living in a world of shit.
Sounds so bad but worth the price.
Took too long to realize.
Finally accepting everything.
Couldn't live without this pain.
Always before I've wished this away.
But I'd miss it if it were gone.
