Warm Summer Evening
Evening always has a way of being my favourite part
of the day.
A calm wind lingered over the trees, flustering
the leaves. The branches beckoning in the air,
calling out.
A light shade of blue encircled the sky with
a light tint of orange brimming over the horizon.
The casual chirp of a bird echoed back my thoughts.

Hard to believe I'm entering a new stage in my life.
Leaving many friends who I've grown up with.
Sharing thoughtful memories I'll always have; first
kisses, first love, painful breakups, discovering new
ways. Things that I'll miss most while I was young
and awed.
Stumbling across weaved paths that led nowhere.
Trying to find answers which sometimes only
followed with confusing questions.
Having dreams shattered at times by awful
choices and goals maybe too out of reach.

But hey, things never do stay the same!
Always holding on one dream, to a hope that
someday I will find what I've desired for.
