A BOOK/STORY I WROTE
well I wrote this Story for all of you Adam fans out there! And I also wrote it to slightly amuse Adam but anyways here is the basic reasoning of the story.
I was bored one afternoon in the mb20 chat no one was there and I wanted something to do...so low and behold after my friend Lilone told me she had made MB20 action figures I decided to do the same...but with my playmobile toys instead! (sorry to Paul I ran out of men and had to use a girl to make U but I chose the only female w/o any chest...I mean all that's wrong is that it's wearing a dress..) But anyways...so I started fooling around with them...and I found my Jurassic Park Dinosuar Toy... 4 years ago I'd have been able to tell you the type of dinosaur and what exact period it lived in but now I don't even know what exactly it is...all I know is that it's the one that killed that thief who shut down Jurassic Park in the first movie ya'll know the big fat one? So anyways...then I said as a Joke to Lilone aka Laura that I was playing "ADVENTURES OF ADAM GAYNOR: Lost in the Jurassic Period" and she thought it was funny and I said I should write about it...later when I told Adam about it he said I should give it to someone to forward to him...well too bad to him he can get himself to this page and read it if he wants to!!!!! hehe loff ya Adam....
One cold dark night in the streets of Miami, a man in his somewhat early 30's was out for a walk with a few friends. Little did he know that when he parted from these friends that it could be the last time he'd ever see them again. As they walked the air got colder around them and he turned to them and smiled secretly at his friend. He knew what was going on in the man's mind, he wanted to get out of the cold and get back home.
"Quite the cold night is it not my dear friend?"
"Yes very cold tonight Adam, might I invite you in for coffee?"
"I'm sorry Sheldon. I can't, I have other business to attend."
"Oh, well quite all right Adam, have fun, I'll see you tomorrow!"
As the pair split Adam watched the sky beginning to swirl above him. He became concerned that it might be a twister, but quickly dismissed it. He began to wish he'd brought his jacket with him seeing as to how quickly the temperature was dropping. He shivered and rubbed his hands together. As he wandered onward he felt a strange feeling overcome him. He began to wish he had gone in for coffee with Sheldon, instead of deciding to go back to the bar. Suddenly he felt himself go lightheaded, he didn't know where or who he was. The fear he felt was all he knew.
'Shit what's going on now?' He thought in fear.
His fear slowly began to die down as he felt himself spinning into unconsciousness. Everything went black.
He awoke to strange noises that he never even could have dreamed of before. Looking about he noticed it was early day and the dew was still on the grass. He stood up and looked around from a different level, he saw what looked to be another person in the distence and he yelled out to them.
"HEY!!! Wait please don't move!!!" He yelled as he ran towards the woman. "Please I must know where I am!!! And perhaps you could shed some light upon this situatution!!!"
"Well I'd tell you if I knew where we are myself, but I don't so I'm afriad I can not say."
"Well if we are in the same position I might as well introduce myself...My name is Adam, Adam Gaynor, and you are?"
"My name's Sherri, Sherri Gaston. So exactly what happened?"
"That's what I'm trying to find out! I got knocked out by the cold and wind in Miami and now I'm here.....I mean what is all of this?"
"I don't know...do you think anyone else is here?"
"Well it sure as hell couldn't help to look!"
The two walked off in search of any other human life. As they walked on Adam took note to the strange animal like calls they kept hearing. He also felt strange tremors in the ground as they neared the sounds. Sherri tripped on a large hole in the ground...that looked like a huge foot print.
"Crap what was that?" Sherri asked in bewilderment.
"A hole." Adam smiled softly at Sherri "Ya gotta be careful Sher...ya mind if I call ya that?"
"No not at all....I like it so I don't mind."
"Alright, now we just need to figure what the hell made that indent in the ground!" Adam glanced at the ground in a puzzled fasion, he scratched the back of his head as he looked from his compainion to the track hole in the ground.
Suddenly he heard a thump and a sound that sounded like it had come out of the movie Jurassic Park. He whirled around and grabed for Sherri and pulled her into the bushes as the creature ran by. The creature even looked like something from Jurassic Park Adam thought to himself. He glanced at Sherri hoping she wasn't hurt.
"You OK Sher?" he asked her worriedly.
"I'm fine Adam...but I'm a little shocked at the fact a Stygimoloch just ran by seeing as they died out 70 million years ago!!!" She jumped up and looked at the full grown Stygimoloch standing next to a slightly large tree. Adam followed her but stayed behind her worried that the animal might charge them.
"Don't be afriad of her Adam...she eats plants...the horns are just for show."
"What the hell is it Sher? It looks like something straight from Jurassic Park but it can't be....dinosaurs are dead!!! All of them are.....have been for 65 million odd years!!!"
"It's a Stygimoloch...and yes...i'ts a dinosaur. I think I know what happened now... I think we got pulled...and don't laugh... but I think we're back in the Cretaceous Period... the last span of the dinosaurs rule..." She said softly pausing slightly every now and then to see if Adam was laughing at her or not... she was quite happy to see he didn't laugh.
"So...we are here...where we could get eaten by a dinosaur? Not my idea of fun!!" Adam smacked his forehead in slight anger..."I can't believe it...this can not be happening to me...not a chance!" Adam collasped to the ground and put his head in his hands.
Sherri noticed his back shaking and went over to him and wrapped her arms around Adam. "It's ok Adam, we'll find a way back...I promise you Adam...I promise!" She pulled him close in a hug and ran her fingers through his soft hair trying to comfort him...she knew she was falling in love with this sweet man...but did he feel the same?
Adam felt the kindness in her touch...and through this loving touch something scared him. He couldn't be sure if it was the idea that they were the only two humans alive in at this time, or if it was the fact he was falling in love with her. He looked up at her and tried to smile. He soon realized his cheeks were tear stained and his eyes were watering. "I don't usually cry like this," he said in a soft whisper, "normally I don't show my concerns with anything that most people think I would be concerned about." He bit his tounge after saying that. It made him sound like a son of a bitch and he knew it. With his cheeks now blazing so hot and red his tear stains vanished. As he stood up and walked around a small area that looked like it would make a good small home for the two of them shall they not meet anymore people in this trial. His cheeks were still blazing if not more when he realized he hadn't gone to the bathroom since...well in the past 65 million years of time traval...but now he had to go...bad. "Excuse me for a moment, I must use the 'bush'" He said feeling even more stupid then before.
"Go right ahead Adam, I'm not one to stop a bladder's needs."
"Heh...cute..."
As Adam walked slightly into the bushes Sherri moved her position so as to have a better view, not of the plains, but of Adam. She smiled to herself as she watched him, in some perverse way she dreampt of what would happen...if they were the only humans then chances were he would need a mate...and that mate would have to be Sherri, unless Adam had a craving for a new species.
"Hello? I didn't realize that there are other people in our position. I'm Judy, and this is Joe and Juliana...Joe and Juliana got here together...what about you and mister pee in the poison ivy? How'd you two get here? I was just walking and I suddenly blacked out! I mean how weird? Did you get here the same way? So what are your names? Where you from? A lot of people think I talk to fast and to much do you-" She speed through her words faster then anyone could understand...except for Adam when she mentioned poison ivy.
"POISON IVY?!?!" Adam whirled around and his eyes were wide...this was not his dream day.
"Geez man take a hyper flip...I was kidding..it's called a bush...whoa what crawled up your ass and died?" She laughed as she taunted Adam who was blushing once again.
"Judy, shut up kid...sorry don't mind her...she is so damn hyper!" The man called Joe said with a smile, he bowed to Sherri and kissed her hand softly.
Adam for no reason felt jealousy fly through his body...he didn't know why...he and Sherri weren't even together yet he felt like he would if Sherri was his wife. "So Juliana and Joe...are you two together? Or is Joe dating Judy?" he snickered to himself when he noticed how many J names were there...it might have seemed odd to anyone else...but if you're in a place where there are only 5 humans and 3 of the 5's names begin with a J it becomes quite amusing.
"No...me and Joe are just friends...although it looks like he's pretty interested in your girlfriend..." Juliana said with a guilty smile.
"Adam? My boyfriend? Haha-" Sherri had started to comment but Adam decided it was time for him to act like a person in love and make a move.
"Joe...you keep away from my girlfriend or you'll be the dino food!"
"Adam...? What has come over you?" Sherri said in shock...could he have just said that she was his girlfriend? It couldn't be possible!! Not with her luck in life!
"Sherri," Adam reached out for her hand, "I need to talk to you, alone!" He accented the alone in the sentence...he watched with an angry look in his eyes as the other three people walked off down the path for a few minutes. "Sherri, do you love me?" He asked a question he feared the answer for.
"Adam, I just, I just, I just met you not even half a day ago!"
"Great...just my luck as always...I pour my heart out for someone and they don't feel the same! I give up! I just can't beli-"
"But I love you like I would a husband Adam..."
"I can't believe how everything has happened today! I can't sta-"
"Adam I said I love you..."
"What?"
"I LOVE YOU...Adam...I truley do."
Soft tears welled up in Adam's eyes again...She loved him...she really did love him...no matter how bad things got now as long as he had Sherri he'd make it. He knew he would...but he'd have to make sure nothing hurt her otherwise he'd have lost the only person in this time that he loved.
Sherri leaned in towards Adam...he wasn't looking her way but when she stroked his cheek he quickly turned to look at Sherri. "Does this mean me and you are an item Adam?" Sherri asked before she took a step into kissing Adam.
"Yes...yes we are an item...and I'll be sure to make sure nothing will tear us apart."
As Sherri leaned in to kiss Adam he put his arms around her waist and pulled her close. He wanted her heat against him...if she was normally this warm he'd be sure to sleep in her arms everynight. When he suddenly felt Sherri's soft lips touch his he felt every hair on his body raise...nothing had given him that feeling in a long time.
Adam's softness towards Sherri made Sherri want him with her even more, yet she feared something greater then she knew. She feared what would happen if and when they got back to their own time. If he had someone in his time then he would leave her forever. He was pulling her closer against him and she was getting more and more fearful with each inch. Eventually she pulled herself away from him. "Stop Adam, please, stop."
Tears welled up in Adam's eyes as he let go of Sherri, "Why? What's wrong, what did I do Sher? I'm sorry..."
"It's nothing Adam I'm just tired."
"Sher, sugar, I'm your boyfriend sugar you can tell me anything."
"Adam, I'm tired, lets get everyone else and get to sleep for the night."
Adam's eyes filled with tears once again as he watched Sherri walk off. He loved her so much, yet it seemed like she didn't want to hold him with her in her arms. He felt every bit of happiness in his heart drain out as she walked over to Judy, Juliana, and Joe. 'Let Joe have her if that's who she wants. He'd probably be better for her anyways...he doesn't seem like the type to run away from a dinosaur...he could save Sherri when I couldn't.' He kept repeating that to himself sadly.
"Hey Adam! Get over here man!" Joe was calling to Adam and jumping up and down. He had a walkman around his neck, it looked like it was in really good shape.
"Alright Joe, hey who are you listening to on your walkman?"
"Oh it's this band, I'm betting they'll get real big soon, or er, later in the time we're from. They're pretty cool...I still haven't seen a clear picture of them though otherwise I'd say what they look like."
"Really? Hmm, what's the name of the band?"
"Oh...uh...Matchbox20."
Adam felt his stomach jump...that was the band he was in...and Joe didn't know it. "Oh, do you really like them?"
"Yep i love them!"
"Do you know the band members names?"
"Yeah...it says it in the slip notes...why?"
"Hello Joe, I'm Adam Gaynor of Matchbox20"
"Oh my God!" as Joe said this he got down on his hands and knees and started kissing Adam's feet. "Adam, I love you I want to have your baby! Please make love to me right here and now!"
"Um...no..." Adam pulled his feet away from Joe.
Within a few weeks everything was beginning to settle down. They had found one more person, a young girl named Laura, she was an adorable young girl with blonde hair and bright happy eyes. Whenever things were getting rough for Adam she always seemed to know to come up to him and give him a hug. This was one of the only things that kept Adam from breaking down totally.
That night when Adam and Joe came back from hunting with no food, Sherri and Juliana seemed to be quite angry with just Adam, as if it was all his fault. Sherri even pulled away from him when he got into their small rut in the ground which was the closest thing to a bed in the area. As he lay there that night tears welled up in his eyes once more. He closed his eyes to keep the tears from seeping out.
Suddenly there was a loud screeching noise. Adam jolted upright in his and Sherri's rut. Outside their hut a large creature moved, Adam shivered as he realized what it was. A Velociraptor, the most deadly dinosaur Adam had encountered so far. When everything had started, a Velociraptor was the only dinosaur Sherri had specifically warned him about. Sweat dripped down Adam's back as he began to fear what the Raptor was doing on their grounds. Adam looked at Sherri as she lay sleeping beside him. He wasn't going to let anything in this world hurt her. He reached over for the rock knife he'd made for hunting. As he reached over he heard something he's never forget.
"Daddy!!!! Help me please, it's hurting me!"
Fear turned into hate when he heard Laura's screams, but was it him that she was calling daddy? It didn't matter right then...if he didn't save her he'd never know.
"Laura! Hold still kiddo." Adam jumped up and ran out of his and Sherri's hut and over to Laura's and Juliana's hut.
Once he got there he felt sick...blood was all over the place...then he saw it...the Raptor had Laura by the waist.
"Hey Raptor over here ya pisser!" The Raptor turned and glared at Adam for a minute, then let go of Laura and leaped at Adam.
Adam felt the Jaws of the Raptor clench down on his wrist. He screamed in pain as he tried to pull away. Grabing the knife he whirled it deep into the Raptor's neck. The Raptor's grip didn't loosen as he slowly died, instead it got tighter. Blood began to trickle down along Adam's forearm, he winced in pain as he felt the teeth clench even deeper in. Though, what really got to him was seeing Laura, sitting there in fear crying, and right beside her was Juliana, holding her tight dispite the blood that dripped down her forehead.
"Come here guys, help me get this damn dino off my arm." Adam said faking a smile through his pain. He grunted as he tried to tear open the Raptor's mouth.
Laura crawled over to him and wraped her arms around him as she cried. "I love you daddy," She kissed his cheek as she said it "You saved my life."
"What the Hell is going on here, Adam?" Sherri came in and saw the blood all over the place and on Adam, Laura, and Juliana. "Dear Lord what on Earth happened here? Can I not trust you to be alone for a minute Adam?
"I guess not Sher, I was alone for a minute and saved Laura and Juliana's lives...I guess you should always keep me away from everyone and everything or I might just save someone else!" Adam yelped when he toar the Raptor off his wrist. The pain hurt, but not as much as the way Sher was treating him now. He stood up and looked at Sher with anger in his eyes, "Maybe I'll just leave here alone, forever." He glared at Sherri for a minute then turned and walked out of the hut and off their grounds.
"Adam, wait please! Don't leave Adam!" Sherri called to him and ran after him crying. "Please don't leave me Adam, I love you!" Her crys muffled the last part in her sentence.
Days and weeks went by with no sign of Adam, Sherri became very softspoken and cried most of the day. Laura had begun to refuse to eat and sat on a tree branch waiting for Adam's homecoming, which everyone else couldn't gain the courage to tell her was never going to come. Juliana seemed to be very withdrawn from everyone. The cut on her head had been treated by Joe, who was basically the only one not hurt or scared at Adam's disappearence. Yet there was one of the children who seemed to be in a state of shock, Judy began to smack Joe around and tell him it was his fault that Adam left. No one knew why Judy was doing this but they all told Joe that she was wrong and not to be hurt by her cruel words.
One day, Sherri noticed Laura began losing a lot of weight. She barley had ate anything since Adam had left, and it worried Sherri. The poor child was starving, and Sherri couldn't help her.
Hunting was going very bad, Joe could almost never catch anything ever. So everyone began to wonder what would have to be done. Judy decided a way for everyone.
"I know if I don't kill him, Laura's going to starve to death and it will be his fault. I don't want to lose my little sister, she's basically the only one close enough to my age for me to actually be close friends with." Judy softly said to herself one cold dark night. "Without Adam here, we can't catch any food." She had set her mind to the fact that she'd have to kill Joe.
"Hey kiddo, what'cha doin' up so early?" Joe said with a gentle smile. He always had a kind face, but Judy knew he wouldn't when she was done with him. His face would be torn to shreads if all worked out as planned.
"Couldn't sleep. Can I see that knife Joe?" Judy smirked as Joe trustingly handed her the knife. "Good-bye Joe. I hope you'd enjoyed your life until now, because as of the next few minutes, it will be over." She raised the knife above her head as Joe coward backwards into the bush and fell.
"Oh, dear God! NO!" Joe yelled as he choked up on tears knowing this would be the last time he saw the light of day, or any light for that matter.
The knife plunged deep into Joe's jugular vain, blood sputed out of his neck all over Judy's arms and face. He gasped for air in vain, he would soon be dead and there was no possible chance on him living. An evil grin sweapt over Judy's face as the last bit of blood spurted out of Joe's neck, and his breathing ceased. Joe, was dead.
"What did you do Judy? You killed him! You killed Joe!" A male voice said, this shocked Judy because there were no males on the grounds. She'd just killed the only male.
"Who the...?" She whirled around to see who had said it. As she turned she felt a strong hand grab her by the neck and another one push her up against the trees near to her. "Adam?" She managed to get out in a rasp.
"Yes! It's me Adam! And you are in the deepest shit you could ever get your ass into!" He growled angrily at her as she strugled to escape.
"I did it for you Adam, he was the one who hurt you! Sherri fell in love with him! And it toar you apart! You know that as well as I do! She loved him and not you!" She strugled and decided to kick up more then just a fuss. She moved her leg back quickly and slammed her foot right into Adam's crotch hoping he'd let go of her with his pain.
"Ohh...shit..." Adam winced in pain as Judy kicked him in his groin over and over again. "You know," Adam tried to talk and keep his cool throughout his pain, "That really begins to hurt after a few times, hurts just about enough to make a guy snap!" Adam grab Judy around the neck and pulled her neck forwards. "How'd you like a broken neck brat?" He pulled harder on it.
"Oh, my God! Adam what are you doing to Judy!" Sherri yelled when she came into the bushed over area." She screamed when she saw Joes bloody body. "Adam, you killed Joe!!!" She let out a loud cry as she ran at Adam.
"Adam, kill Joe? Ha, you gotta be kidding, he's a too weak in the stomach to kill anyone by slicing their jugular vain open." Judy said with a guilty laugh as she kicked Adam hard in the groin once more causing him to drop to the ground in pain. "I killed Joe, Sherri, I killed him so we could feed his carcass to Laura, so she wouldn't die!" Judy looked down at Adam and saw tears in his eyes. "Ya see Sherri! He can't even go two minutes without crying! He's a little wussy momma's boy! And I should kill him too!" She raised the knife to kill Adam, but just as she did this he tripped her and regained his position over top of Judy.
"You have become a really bad person Judy. I never thought I'd be able to do this to anyone, especially not a child, but you've gone too far." His hands regripped around her small neck. As her continued to slowly try and snap her neck, he felt the stone cut knife dig deep within his flesh just under his chest. He trembled as he saw the blood seeping out of his side, he knew he had to snap her neck fast, or he'd be the one to die. With a quick crack everything about Judy ceased to move. Her breathing stopped, her muscles went weak, and Adam felt her soul slip out of her. "She's dead..." He whispered softly as pain began to rush through his body as he felt himself slipping out of his body as the blood continued to run freely from his wound.
"Adam, you're bleeding, oh God, what do I do! Juliana!!! Help, Adam's back and he's bleeding! Joe and Judy are both dead!!" Sherri yelled as Adam slowly moved himself away from Judy's lifeless body. He placed a hand over his wound and grimeced. The pain would go away soon and he'd live, but it sure did hurt right now.
"Sherri, I have even more important things to worry about then two already dead people, we're losing Laura, she's slipping into a coma" Juliana said as she carried the child's almost lifeless body out to Adam and Sherri. "Adam, you were always Laura's favorite, I think she'd much prefer her life to go in your arms." Juliana handed the dying girl to Adam with great care.
"Oh, my lil' one, I never should have left you like I did, I should have protected you all, it's my fault." Tears dripped down Adam's eyes as he kissed Laura's forehead softly. The young girl opened her eyes and coughed.
"Daddy?" She asked in a soft childish voice. "I love you Daddy." She closed her eyes and kissed Adam's chest. Her soft body no longer moved, everything in her young tender childish body had ended. Just like a bad dream.
"I love you too Laura, my sweet little girl. We have to bury her, we can't just let her rot away above ground, she deserves it!" Adam began crying and shaking as he held Laura's limp body to him. "She didn't deserve to die, but she deserves to be buried at the least!"
The next day the hiked up to a place which seemed good enough to bury Laura. As they say there buring her Sherri got up and walked around the area for a minute. Suddenly she screamed in pain.
"Sher!" Adam yelled and jumped up, "Oh, God, Sher are you ok?" He ran over towards where Sherri's scream came from. He saw a huge Dinosaur, biting and snapping at Sherri. "Juliana! What is that?" He yelled to his other young friend.
"Holy shit, that's a Megalosaurus! That's a critter that could easily kill us all!" She screamed and was about to run when Adam grabbed her arm.
"Wait here for a minute, let me get Sher away from it then you take her far, far, far away ok?"
"OK, I'll do it." She said trembling and fearing for the worst.
"Hey! Stupid dino, come and get me! I'm a lot bigger then her, I'll be more fun to get anyways dino!" Adam said as he threw stones and sticks at the Dinosaur's head. The Dinosaur roared in anguish and turned at Adam. "Run Sher! Go to Juliana and run with her!" Adam continued to throw stones at the giants head as he gave orders to Sherri.
"Hell, I wasn't planning on staying here to watch!" Sherri yelped as she took off with Juliana.
A few hours later they became quite scared as they realized Adam had not returned. They feared the worst had come to him.
"I believe we should go back and see if he's OK..." Sherri said softly to Juliana. "I mean, he was the one who saved me, we owe him do we not?"
"I'm for it all the way!" Juliana said as she stood up and motioned for Sherri to follow her.
"Good, then let's go!" As Sherri stood up there was a loud thud at the door. "Oh, God! It followed us!" She screeched as the door opened itself slowly.
"When did I become an it?" Adam said softly through the blood which dripped along his face. "I can't move any farther, it hurts too much." He said as he collapsed on the dirty ground of the hut.
"Oh, God Adam, are you ok?" Sherri said as she ran to him and pulled his upper half onto her lap.
