Maggie's Dream fué un grupo en el cual Robi participó como vocalista principal, cantando en inglés, antes de comenzar su carrera como solista. El grupo sólo lanzó un disco titulado con el nombre de la banda para 1990. El disco salió bajo el sello disquero Capitol y obtuvo buenas críticas por su individualidad, líricas y estilo propio y diferente, por parte de revistas como The Rolling Stone. Se comenta que al morir uno de los músicos de la banda, la banda rompió.
