Damon Albarn aka Dan Abnormal

Some facts and a lot of gossip

Damon is the vocalist of Blur. He's not just a vocalist; he's a damn good looking one too. He's practically the most gorgeous man in the world. Guess you've figured out that he's my favourite Blur member huh? Well that's what he is anyway. And it's not just because he's so good looking, it's because of his talent too.

So here's the story of Damon:
Damon was born March 23, 1968 in London. Later on he moved with his dad Keith and his mum Hazel to a house in Colchester. His mum and dad were hippies, and actors. He also has a little sister named Jessica. (She has now got a little daughter who Damon loves.) In school he was referred to as the weirdo, or even gay. He was into classical music and at the age of 12 he learned to play the violin, he also learned to play the piano, as we all know (don't we?). When he was 13 he met Graham and they became very good friends, even though Damon's first words to Graham were "Those are crap shoes, these are real ones". And that only because Graham had cheaper copies of Damon's "cool, real" shoes. Well as I told you they grew good friends anyway. After finishing comprehensive school Damon moved to London and started acting school. But he thought he was the worst actor ever, so he gave it up. Later on he moved back to Colchester and formed Blur together with the other guys. I also know he's been a cleaner at a railway station, and a caretaker at a school (boy, who wouldn't have wanted to go to that school!!?!) or was it a hospital? (I have different info there).
Damon's acting seemed to be good enough for a film though, coz he's doing a part as a car thief in Antonia Bird's film "Face". Damon says in an interview that it was a terrible and nice experience. He was supposed to act drunk and the other actors told him that the only way to do it real good was to take some drinks and smoke a bit of grass, so he did. But he smoked a little too much and when he did that part he felt really sick. So he said we should think about how sick he felt if we ever see the film. I've seen the film myself, and I liked it. Not just because of Damon, it was actually good. Damon does his part very good for being the first time and all. (And his hot)

If you haven't missed it you probably know he did a song for the soundtrack to "Trainspotting". "Closet Romantics". He has also made the soundtrack to Antonia Bird’s new film Ravenous. Damon made it together with Michael Nyman. He has other stuff in his life too. Like football (soccer for you Americans) and Tae Kwondo. He plays football in Chelsea. (Guess my favourite team) He says he first did it to have something to relax and have fun with, without taking it too seriously, but he found he enjoyed it so much he kind of takes that seriously too.

Have you noticed the beads Damon's always wearing, well almost always, not when he's on stage. His mum gave them to him once to give him good luck and he's worn them ever since. Though I've heard that when they played in Hamburg one summer they got ripped off and the beads were spread all over. Damon stopped the concert and had the audience give him the beads back. He got most of them back but not all of them. When they played in Hamburg the next year a girl gave him the rest of the beads back. And since then Damon doesn't wear the beads on their concerts. If it's true or not I don't know, but that's what I've heard.

Damon know has a child together with a girl named Suzie. The little baby girl is called Missy and was born in October 1999.
