By mid-1982, two years after the dissolution of the band, Led Zeppelin still was
managing to generate public controversy. "Stairway to Heaven," now more than ten years old, was still
the most requested song on American FM stations.
In December 1982, Jimmy released Led Zeppelin's last
album as Swan Song's last record. Coda was a
collection of eight tracks spanning the length of
Zeppelin's twelve-year flight...
Throughout the rest of the 80's and into the 90's the remaining three members along with Bonzo's son Jason
on drums continued to make apperances at many music
functions, including "Live Aid," Atlantic's 40th
Anniversary. Also both Page and Plant continued to
work on there own solo careers. While Plant worked on releasing his solo albums, Page did some work with
the "Death Wish" movie soundtrack and reunited with
Paul Rogers the lead singer of Bad Co. to form a new
band called "The Ferm" which released 2 albums. Most
recently Page and Plant reunited on the MTV unplugged special and released it on Video and CD...
Although the rumors have continued to spread that
Zeppelin would once again rise and make it's flight
across America, time will only tell...
