OK now kiddies this topic is just itching to get out and it's causing a big ruckus in Canada. The government was planning to give financial aid to the 6 Canadian NHL teams, 2 million for each team for each season untill the 03/04 season, bonus..great..awsome..considering we pay almost 3x's as much taxes as our American counterparts, why is it that the government is drowning our teams, even though it's OUR GAME!...every Canadian is proud to support on of our NHL teams but the government is scared to even say boo to them, I think this whole thing is bullshit, and now...get this kids....the freakin government is revoking it's package, I say fine.. who needs the damn government, I would be happy to help support the Canadian teams, even if it meant that I had to pay an extra tax to keep them here, I would be happy to pay it because I want to keep our game in Canada, this, Kiddies, is just another example of how un-patriotic OUR government is, what a kick in the ass to us!...if you don't like what they are doing...send them a letter, a email, call them do something to save our NHL teams, we don't want to loose them like we did the Winnipeg Jets or the Quebec Nordiques!
