NOTE: There were a couple bands (The Joneses & Richie Supa) who did the song "Chip Away The Stone." Now, most would say this is an Aerosmith song. But, this song was recorded and released two times before Aerosmith first
released it on their album "Live! Bootleg" and later on "Gems" and the boxed set "Pandora's Box." The first band to record it was a band called "The Joneses" which released in on their E.P. "Keepin' Up With the Joneses" which was released in 1974 on Mercury Records. The second to record it was Richie Supa himself on his album "Tall Tales" which was released on Polydor Records in 1978. Also, the band Humble Pie recorded "Chip Away The Stone" on their 1981 album "Go For The Throat." But, since Aerosmith was not the first artist to record this song...I cannot include it on this list.
