Where he attempted to get higher than anyone there...education being the last thing on his mind, he left school for better things. He struggled early on by dj'ing at small parties and local clubs, living with friends because of his meager earnings. He signed with BMG and cut his first albumn "Grits Sandwhiches For Breakfast" For whatever reason Rock wasn't happy with the job they were doing, so he broke off and started his own record company called Top Dog Records in Detroit.  Recently, he signed with Atlantic records.  His first single from his new albumn is "I am the Bullgod".  If the title sounds familiar...it should, because it is from the old days.  He taped his Mtv Video recently (Bridgette and I were at that show... front and center row) at the State Theater in Detroit.  Hopefully we'll be seeing his face on television soon enough.

THINGS YOU'VE ASKED
(and what we think the answer is)

q: is that kid on stage Rock's son?
a: hell no! do you think he'd honestly let his kid do what that guy does? In reality that's Joe C...he's a really cool guy who just happens to look young (hey i still get careded for cigarettes, i can only imagine what he must go through)  There is a pickture of Joe C in the Devil without a Cause Booklet that comes with the albumn.  There is also a picture of his kid on Rocks Website

q: he's always disrespecting women in his music, how can you two listen to that garbage?
a: cuz it's cool...besides just because he sings about it, doesn't mean he actually practices it.... Rock himself says that he has the utmost respect for women

q: Have you met Kid Rock?
a: no... but we would definitely love to

q: Where can I get Kid rock stuff?
a: right now the only place we've seen it is at shows (very reasonably priced) But judging from the variety of clothing i saw at the last show that wasn't offered there, it's possible soem record stores in Detroit carries it as well.... I do know that Boogie Records in Toledo used to carry his stuff, but he used to have to drop it off in person and he hasn't done that in a while

q: I can't find one of his albums...help!
a: Kid rock will be re-releasing his stuff fairly soon... he's just fighting for right to do so from the people who hold the rights to his music
