This is a good single, and well worth the purchase just for the two B-sides, "Deadlock" and "Electrocution". Although, if you bought this while waiting for the FLAvour of the Weak album to be released I don't think it will provide a very good example of what you'll find on the album. With the exception of the first "Columbian Necktie" remix, the tracks sound quite a bit like their Noise Unit side project. Also, I can think of better tracks to release a single for, such as "Sado-Masochist", "Life=Leben", or "Comatose" (although that one is on it's way). Still, worth the purchase, most definitely.

Columbian Necktie (Tongue Fed Edit) (4:58)

This isn't much different than the album version. The chorus is shifted into a different part of the song, and the long intro that was on the album version isn't here. In addition, near the end of the track, it begins to sound like your CD player is skipping, but it's really not. It's part of the track. Most people I've played this for have been fooled at first. I was.

Deadlock (7:03)

This is a truly awesome track. With no lyrics and a harsh electronic dance sound, it's like something you'd find on Noise Unit. The samples from Independence Day are truly excellent, being "I know there is much we can learn from each other, if we can negotiate a truce", "We can co-exist", "Release me", and "Die" (the latter of the two being said the alien being in the movie). So cool that I had to rent the movie on video again to hear how these samples were used. A great track, and very powerful.

Electrocution (7:45)

This track is very good as well. The beat takes on a more break beat sound, which isn't a bad thing at all. This is one of my favorite tracks of their new material. It goes through several transformations as well, throughout the song. The melodic synths are used very good here. Near the end, it gets very wild. There's not much else to say. It's classic FLA, with a Noise Unit twist. Very good indeed.

Columbian Necktie (GOArge mix by Tim Schuldt) (7:40)

This mix hardly sounds like the original track at all, and takes on a more techno sound. I think I like the original version much better, but this is still decent. No lyrics here.
