Chapter 6

"Oh man. And its to late to call the towing service"
"I can call a cab, I just need to borrow your phone"
"Sure right over here." She brought him down the hallway by the guestroom, where the telephone was on the floor.
"Uhh, I haven't found a table for that yet" she said a little humiliated.
"Don't worry about it" he said laughing. He picked up the phone off the floor and held both the cradle and the head set in his hands. But finding it rather difficult to dial and hold everything at the same time, he sat down against the wall, and began dialing again.
"Do you want some coffee or something?" Rachel asked.
"That would be great.Thanks"
She ran to the kitchen, and came back 5 mins later with two cups of coffee. She wasn't sure how he liked it so she brought the cream and sugar too. He patted the empty place on the floor beside him when he saw her with the drinks. Alough she was wearing a tanktop and loose fitting sweatpants, AJ found her incredably sexy."Come sit by me," he said lightly.
She carefully sat down next to him, so as not to spill anything on the white carpet. "Your still trying to order a cab?"
"Yeah, these damn companies never have enough taxis to go around. The earliest time I can have one pick me up so far is 2:30. Uh yeah, hi, I need to get a cab as soon as possible" he said, being interrupted by whoever answered his call. "Yeah yeah, ok of course, no you just have shitty business that's all. Well thanks for nothing. Yeah screw you too." he slammed down the phone.
"Wow, someone needs to go to bed" she said, punching him playfully in the arm.
"It just makes me mad, how these bastards at these places can treat customers. I mean, if I would have told them know who I really was, they would have canceled an order in a minute."
"Why didn't you"
" 3 reasons. I hate doing it, what makes me anymore privileged to get a cab then any other person in Orlando. Secondly, I only let them know its me if I'm really in need to get somewhere for the group, say a conference or meeting or something, and lastly, because that's just it; I'm not a Backstreet Boy right now. I'm just AJ McLean. Me getting home is no more important than anybody else, and I like that feeling."
" How do they know its you. I mean anybody can call in, and say they are a celebrity"
"Well we have our names aswell as a code number, registered into their computers, in every cab company in Orlando, so that they know its us"
"Oh, I see. Well look, since you can't seem to find a cab anywhere, why don't you just stay here tonight, we're sitting right next to the guest room so you don't have far to go." "Are you sure, I mean I don't want to impose" AJ said casually, but secretly thrilled at the thought of spending the night at her place."You shouldn't be doing this AJ, your moving too quickly" he thought to himself. He couldn't understand what it was about this woman besides her body that he was so attracted to. They certainly hadn't met on good terms. He pushed these thoughts aside, and resumed focusing on what Rachel was saying.
"You're not, I just wouldn't want you staying up until 2:30, waiting for that cab, you know?"
"Alright you got me."
"Good." She was happy with herself for convincing him to stay, but didn't want to seem to eager, so she quickly stood up and acted as if it were no big deal.
They by now had both finished their coffee, so she picked up the two mugs and the unused cream and sugar, and brought them back into the kitchen.
When she returned AJ lay slumped against the wall with his eyes closed.
"He must be so tired. Poor baby" she thought sympathetically.
Although she didn't want to wake him up, she also didn't want to just leave him like that, so she knelt down and gently shook his arm. All of a sudden he grabbed her and pulled her on top of him, and began kissing her roughly. When he pulled away, she was breathless. "You tricked me" she said, a smile playing on her lips.
"And I got what I wanted from it" he said slyly. He didn't wait any longer before moving in for another kiss. This time it was deeper, smoother, and much longer.
Rachel's mind felt incredibly foggy,as did his, and she couldn't think. But something alerted her that this wasn't right, crazy as it sounds.
"Mmmmsto..aj..stop" It sounded all blurry, her not being able to get a word in.She had to push him away regrettably, in order to stop his kisses.
"AJ we can't do this"
"Why not?" he asked, although he had expected her to say that.
"Cuz I work for you, its against all the rules."
"That's what makes it so much more fun" he said kissing her neck.
"Yeah, but I don't want to lose my job"
"Rachel, don't worry about it. You don't actually work for me, you kinda work with me, and that's not against the rules. I don't employ you, Nina does, well actually, Multi..uhhh..its too complicated just don't worry about it. Noone is going to get in trouble. But it would be a good idea to keep this quiet until tour starts."
Rachel felt better knowing she wasn't doing anything that would threaten her job.
"Well I'm glad to hear it. But I'm afraid if I continue kissing you tonight I'll end up in the guest room with you, and if I'm in the guest room with you we'll probably end up on the bed and I think you know where it will go from there."
He looked at her for a minute, waiting to see if she would change her mind. "No, you can't rush her into this. You shouldn't even be thinking about it" he thought to himself. So instead he bent down and kissed her on last time on her soft lips
"Goodnight Rachel"
"Night" she said, still shivering from the last moments his lips had been on hers.
She watched him walk into the room and close the door before heading to bed herself.
It would be the first time she'd slept in her room, since arriving in Orlando. The actual bed was huge and looked as if it could fit 5 people, but was gorgeous, with a canopy covering and a rich cream color to it. She changed into some pajama bottoms and a different tank top, slid under the covers, and wondered what it was going to be like waking up with AJ, well not literally of course. She also made a note to herself to call Lauren in the morning to see what was up, since she hadn't had the chance to that day
