The Band That Changed My Life
"Nirvana! Well I have been a fan since
1992 hmm I was 10 (I think) well
anyway the reasons why Nirvana changed my life is quite simple
the music,
the image and the fact that they kicked ass. Nirvana was bought
to me
through a tape my brother made and had given me to listen to, to
see what
music he was into.
Gradualy after listening to that tape I
realised that the bands on this
tape really do rock and so I asked him about these particular
songs "I Can
Live" (unreleased song) "Negative Creep" and
"Downer" and well he said, "ohh its
this band called Nirvana and the album was Bleach."
So Bleach was to be
christained the first CD in my CD collection. After listening to Bleach,
I
totaly was into Nirvana and the grunge 'look'.
After a while and the savings of 9 months I
bought In Utero in November '93.
After total and uter fallings out with my mom and dad over the
way I
looked, I had to go and buy a £30 ($60) ticket to go and see
Nirvana in
1994, (i'll tell you that I live in England just in case you get
confused),
but three weeks before the gig Kurt died. After four years I
still have the
ticket in these special plastic bags and I'm never gonna go sell
it.
So as I was saying I am still very saddened by his death. Nirvana
had
like totaly changed my life and my attituds towards people, they
changed my
life in the ways towards music and the way i dress and look these
days. I
have realised life with drugs suck well apart from alchol and
weed that is.
But hey, they did change alot of things
about me and here is the proof. I'm
totaly into these bands:
Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Sound Garden (sadly split up!), Green
Day, Foo Fighters, Sweet 75, NOFX, Rancid, The Vacaliens, Sonic
Youth, The
Offspring, Metallica, Sepultura (and agian another sad split up),
Pantera,
White Zombie, Days Of The New, Life Of Agony, FAITH NO MORE (well
their
No More)!!! :) Well I hope I have covered why Nirvana changed my
life and
if you think I haven't covered anything please let me know or you
wanna
chat to me heres my e-mail."
