Afterlife - A Nirvana website

At first, I seriously thought this page would be one of those where you scroll down and get what you want. However, that is not the case here. What you will get is a bunch of Nirvana's and other words, so do not scroll down. Just click on the banner that says, "Afterlife." This page has many different colours. Have a variety of colours for you page is not necessarily a bad thing, however, it's like wearing clothes: would having a yellow sweat-pants a pink sweat appeal to a large number or people? No. In this case, the main frame has the Nevermind background colour, and then the colour of some kind of purple. Anyway, am I seeing things more than I'm supposed to? You'll see what I mean, I think. The site definitly fits the "Free Speech" name tag it claims to be.

First things first, you can go sign his guestbook, and view it--private messages require a password. There is another exotic chat room. It's basically an orange box with the "loading..please wait a minute.." So it is quite different from the usual green coloured one you see these days around some sites. You can register as a new user, or you can enter as a guest. You can also download some songs for the Outcesticde albums, the first four anyway. The guitar tabs have this orange-fire background. Here you will not only find the tabs to most of the songs, but you can find things about the guitar, tutorials, and searches as well.

The bass tabs are located in the same area as the guitar tabs, however, it does not offer as much information. Just a couple of the albums and even then just a few of those songs. Too bad it does not have one of the pictures of the bass, it shows the JagStang several times. It offers all the albums (rare songs included), but you will not find the lyrics for From The Muddy Banks of the Wiskhah. Then basically after clicking on the album cover you get black and white text, which is not neatly organized at the most.

You can give him some "Feedback" by filling out a little form. The guitar FAQ is nothing out-of-the-ordinary, you will, if you have looked around, have already seen this FAQ. The only difference, is the background, which is, again, in exotic-colours. Although this is one of the most organized sections of the page, it's not--quite. You get a scanned version of the Death Certificate in addition to the note, which is in text-form to the left of the note and above the certificate. It is very hard to see the text. The note and the certificate overlap each other.

The poll was placed on April 8th, or 9th, because he said he did it a day late. Pretty interesting and kind of good for a poll. However, the background is not that good. The Quiz is pratically the hardest I've seen, but if you read and memorize the band-bio Come As You Are, then you shouldn't have a problem. The links, although good and long-listed, is probably copied from somewhere, or, many places even.

Conclusion

Not a bad page. The backgrounds you will find to be a little too annoying. However, I think it is a good page if it fixes it-self up. And it sounds like it needs to be updated. There are some good, informative parts of this page that I even liked. But if you are not ready for graphic changes, then don't come to this page.
