Introduction

I remember reviewing this page quite a long time ago.  I looked over the review to see what I have written about the page.  The review itself was about 3 to 4 paragraphs in length. Nothing like it is today.  One Baby To Another Said... has been credited for offering a lot of information and more.

About the test:

  • Matrox Millineum G200 8MB used.

  • ASTVision 4I monitor used at 16-bit color and 800x600 pixels.

  • Browsers tested: IE Beta 5/Netscape Navigator 4.01

If your running on Netscape or Internet Explorer, you'll be find.  That is what most pages are compatiable with.  There is one main difference.  The page looks a bit better in Netscape, mainly because it does not list everyone horizontally, straight down the page.  It lists them in columns.  If you have one of the more independent browsers like Opera for example, it may be a little different.  The resolution?  800x600 pixels.  Any color font that is at least 16-bit color or above is fine.  The higher the color, the harder it is on your video card.

The layout on this page is very simplistic.   There is absolutely nothing wrong with the route this page has taken.  The water colored background, and the links are listed horizontally down the page.  A lot of people would not like this kind of format.  Thus they want to be able to visit a section that has a certain topic, which contains other sections.

About the test:

  • Both browsers were closed before the test.

  • Internet Explorer was opened and tested, Netscape was tested after.

  • Address for the main page, or page that consists of contents, or the page that was viewed in the screenshot was pasted in the testing browser.

  • Time was ended when the icon in the top right hand corner stopped.

  • U.S. Robotics Pratical Winmodem 56k installed during test.

  • Time shown in minute/second format.
