Celebrity Death-Match
Being a celebrity fills dreams and hopes...or does it?
Remember when you were younger and you always dreamt of what it would be like to be a famous person? To make more money? To be noticed? Yes, that is something that everyone, if not dreams about, thinks about.
Some people run their lives to try to achieve this "accomplishment." Leaving out the important things such as family, friends and life itself. However some people can not help if they achieve it. One small budget movie that is turned into a major hit, causing one person to become a "star." Perhaps a band creates an album with a big hit and become famous. In these two situations, and more, they can continue to become big accidently or because they wanted it, or they can just stop. Normally this is where pressure comes in.
Pressure from management, peers, family and fans. No one wants to dissapoint anyone in this world. However, since your now "famous," your actions are monitored more closely than ever before. You think people seem to enjoy this, however there is a much darker side to becoming famous and winning fans and money.
There's also the media in general. We have the tabloids. From television shows to the print. Normally a journalist will say they want to uncover the truth. This applies to school. School time can be filled with rumors of who-said-what or who is going out with who, etc. But this is not so serious per se, because not everyone in America and the world knows about it.
To escape things there are some famous people who live in the low life and are still famous. Stephen King, for example, lives in Maine, USA, and he still writes best-sellers. There are musical and silver screen celebrities that do this also. So if someone is in the spotlight, someone may here something and just cause a big something over nothing. Or something of the past.
Is there anything wrong with being famous? Not at all. As long as you handle it well. It is great to see people make a lot of money and still live a modest life. Fame will not last forever -- we all need to remember that.
