Endless Nirvana

If you are a webmaster of a page, or have ever had any experience with constructing one, you know that when you build a page for the first time or if your building another one with little or no HTML experience, you know how hard it can be to get the page to look the way you want it to. However if you practiced it long and hard enough, it became no problem later on.

Graphics

From what I can tell, this site is fairly new.   The page does not have a specific layout, because there are things on this side and things on the other side...bad idea. When constructing a site, you want to have the layout in an organized manner.  Now, everything does not have to be on this side, but it does have to be organized. The first page on this site is basically the introductory page.   What you will find here is a link to the main page.  It does have a nice section, "Stuff You Need For This Site."  This page is a frames only page.  There are two main differences if you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x or Netscape 4.x., which concerns the frames and the layout for the page.

The layout for the page is very different in both browsers.  In IE, you can adjust the frame according to what you want.  In Netscape, however, you can adjust the frame.  This reason is because it looks like a wall is dividing both sides.  Nevertheles, the page does look better in Netscape.  Mainly because of the tone and how Netscape actually handles frames, which differs greatly than IE.

Information

The information about Nirvana will be in the General Information area.  The only information it does provide right now is are the information about the albums and the entries Nirvana made into MTV's Top 500 (SLTS video was released in '91, not '92).

For the Bleach album area, you will find not the lyrics, but some information: background information on the album, statistics (what the back cover says), song meanings, related EP's and singles (which could not be found by Geocities). The information provided here is not bad, but there should be a little more.

For the Nevermind album, which is about the same as the Bleach area, contains videos and tour dates that support the album.
The Incesticide album information page could not be found.

All the other albums could not be found, make sure the HTML is correct.  The image for the cover of Wishkah is broken, also.

Other stuff

The Bootlegs page is a direct link to another page, which focuses on bootlegs.  The Monthly Picture special is a unique area on this site.  Right now it has two sections that focus on a specific topic...very interesting.  Then there is the Question of The Week. But it does have more than that.  Actually, there are several polls you can participate in. The sounds seem to offer a little something.  Most are in Real Audio, unless it is a wav. file, which would be noted.  Sometimes the Real Audio files will not download. What I got was a different page which is probably a sign that it was not encoded correctly.  Then there are a few links. The only one I would probably recommend is the Krist Novoselic site.

Conclusion

Hmm, if this site was not updated reguarly and it did not seem like the webmaster did not put any effort into it, I would have given this site a bad review.  It does need to work a little bit with the graphics, and I would hope that it would add some more content to the site.  The Monthly Picture Special was probably my favorite part of the page. It did offer some good information about the albums in the sections that provided it.  If you need some graphical help, I would strongly suggest going to Grunger Designs.
