The Best Sites of the Year
It finally came to me, about this time of the year, that I would have to do something at the end of the year for the sites that I have reviewed. Indeed, I have gave those very few sites my award, which is a tough thing to get.
Originally, I would have chosen one or a few sites that would get the award. However, I thought that was very unfair among a lot of things. I wanted to make it seem that I was not picking anyone's page simply because they are my e-mail buddy. The main purpose of this page from the day I realized that reviewing was my job was to help pages improve. Making the Internet a better place for Nirvana and other pages to come.
With over 100 reviews, I have accomplished quite a lot. It has been a blessing to work with great people, helping them out with their pages when they need it. The reviews themselves have also changed. From a paragraph's worth to several pages of comparisons and screenshots, I would like to give you an idea what the Best Sites of the Year of 1998 is all about.
The main purpose of this is to recognize the sites for a job well done. I have seen many sites grow from "indie" to sites that are very respected on the Internet, and even improving some of the most recognized and influential ones.
Here are the categories I have come up with so far:
Most Improved
Best Graphics
Best Content
Best Multimedia
Best Overall
Visitor's Choice
Webmasters' choice
That's seven right now. And since we have a few months left for this year, there will definitely be some additions and changes. This is when you come in. If you have any ideas for this, e-mail me. I'll clarify some of the categories later on.
