There are plenty of sites out there that have specific URL names for two main reasons. First, it's easy to remember. Secondly, it should deal with the subject. Just because one site can afford to have a domain name does not mean it is necessarily good. However there have been many successful domain name sites such as Grunger's Corner.

Graphics

The page is nicely done in graphics. It is recommended that you use 800x600 monitor resolutions. The image map in the center of the page is lovely and very good. The black background gives it an edge. If, however, you are not a big fan of image maps, there are some hyperlinks near the bottom of the page. Speaking of which, at the bottom of the page there is a search engine.

Multimedia

  • Pictures - At this moment, the page has 100 pictures of Kurt. It is divided up into four pages. Each picture is a thumbnail, they are arranged in a nice format. 5x5 columns does the job nicely. The pictures are in great quality and you will find a few rare ones.

  • Kurt's Artwork - Since this site is solemnly dedicated to Kurt, it would be kind of odd not having pictures of his artwork, would it? It has a few that I myself have not seen before. Keep an eye out for those.

  • The Note - An area that has the scanned note, in addition to a text version. Also, it has a scanned version of Kurt's death certificate.

  • Fan Art - Containing: Audio, Digital Art, Drawings, Poems, and Fan Webrings. The audio section is pretty obvious. This has Real Audio files of fans' covers of Nirvana songs. It gives their e-mail address, the running time of the song as well as the size. Drawings contain some pictures that fans have drawn of Kurt. The Digital Art section is similar to the previous, but the only difference is that it is digital. Then you'll find some touching poems in the poems section.

  • Audio - Here you will find MP3's, Midi's, and Real Audio files. There are a lot of MIDI files, containing almost any song I can think of. The MP3 had a nice section, although it was not as much as the MIDI, but good nevertheless. The Read Audio files "should be up soon."

  • Bootleg Covers - That's right. It has covers of bootlegs. 73 covers in all.

Information

  • News - Find some of the latest site updates and rants from the webmasters of this site. They usually discuss a book, or some site or Nirvana news. Very up-to-date and helpful in some regards.

  • Guitar Tabs - It has it for all the albums except Wishkah. No anchors or anything like that for easy navigating. It does, however, contain some rare songs and b-sides.

  • Lyrics - The same applies in the same manner as the previous section, however it does have a different background.

  • Quotes - A section that is filled with Kurt quotes. Real interesting. But nothing new if you've read all the reviews.

  • Links - Nothing Nirvana-related here. Just some advertising stuff. Well, except for one.

Conclusion

Not a disappointing site. If your looking for Kurt stuff this is definitely a place to spend your time. It contains a lot of original stuff and some not-so-original stuff. The site has put a lot of effort into graphics and the way it has presented it's material, which is far from bad. It is nothing spectacular, but it is a good site nevertheless. I hope that it's content will grow. Maybe it could find some interview clips?
