Introduction

Every site has some good and bad points.  For some, the bad points are more than the good points. Nevertheless, there will never be an "ideal" site because there will be new web page advancements, graphics, and things that will come out.  A reason why someone starts a webpage is because they think they can do something "better than someone else."  The page, Maybe Just Happy is a rather simple page, and simplicty does not mean boring.  Moreover, it is right there for you to get, no fancy graphics to stand in your way.

Graphics

As I have mentioned in the introductory paragraph, Maybe Just Happy is a simple page concerning graphics.   Everything seems to be equal in terms of the layout.  It also means that everything is not on this side.  It also means that the page is well organized in an efficient manner.  The background is gray with some back in in, think of a marble wall for a moment.  Under the title of the page is a series of pictures of Kurt.   In bullets are the sections of the page, and to the right of that is an Unplugged picture of Kurt. Scrolling down you will find a Poll and a webring banner.

Paper Cuts: Nirvana articles and interviews

Do not underestimate the page because of the graphics.  The articles and interviews section is really good.   It is divided up into "Eras."  Another interesting thing is the amount of articles found in the "Bleach Era."  Each era includes a picture.

Nirvana record and concert reviews

Like the articles and interviews section, you will be quite surprised at the number it has.   Sections are divided up in order of album and tour reviews.  Not a lot of difference than the above section, but it does have a lot of content.

Pictures

Plenty of pictures.   However it does not offer the organization and neatness you would expect in any other picture gallery.  Yet this is not something just to ignore.  There is a description of the picture, and some pictures are included in the page as you scroll down.

Bootlegs

The regular stuff are found here.  There are a lot of videos and shows.  I am not sure about the page's trading policies, but you might find something that you would be interested in.

Favorite Things

The webmaster picks her favorite songs from each album, including bootlegs and videos.

Muder/Suicide debate

Not one of my favorite things to talk about, or even read.  This page does include some pointers about the theories.   For those of you who are interested in this debate, it certainly will get your interest.

Games

Includes crosswords puzzles, cytograms, and a quiz or two.  The crossword puzzle is not interactive, but I doubt any crossword puzzle would allow you to type in the answers.  What you can do is print it out and go from there.  The cytograms is a sentence from a song and you have to re-arrange it.

Stray thoughts and wisdom

Some things found on the Heart-shaped Mailbox Mailing List.

Links

Not a whole lot of links, but there are some pages that are listed for people who like to trade bootlegs.

Connection

Internet Explorer - 36 seconds
Netscape Navigator - 9 seconds

The connection test was done on a 56k Winmodem connected at 38.6 bps.  Remember download times will vary depending on your modem speed, browser, server of the page, telephone line activity, and your internet service provide (ISP).  This will not guarantee that the page will download at the same rate on your computer as it does mine, this is just an estimate.

Conclusion

Surprise, surprise.  This page is not as bad as it was originally thought it was to be.  Instead, it offered a lot of original content for those of you who like content.  It does offer a lot of multimedia, hardly any at all.   The graphics are no big deal on this page, and it would be fine like it is, my suggestion would be to straighten some things out a bit.
