The Krist Novoselic Dedication Page Reviewed on December 21, 1998 @ 4:18

Since April of 1994, it has been hard to keep up with Krist. Dave was silent for about a year and a half until the Foo Fighters released their first single, "I'll Stick Around" on their self-titled debut album in late 1995. Krist has keept quiet musically, however politically he has spoken -- in JAMPAC. Musically, Krist has been doing just fine. Unlike Dave, he does not have music videos nor big tours. Finally, someone gives Krist the credit he deserves. Graphics There really is no difference with Netscape or Internet Explorer. They seem to look exactly the same. So it does not matter which browser you use. The image map serves it's purpose well and it looks fairly good with the background. It does increase the download time a lot. Most of the sections have different backgrounds and navigational tools. Which can: 1) be annoying, or 2) be good because it adds a variety to the page. Information 'n Multimedia The main purpose of this page is to provide information about Krist Novoselic. There is plenty of it. There are many sections to this page. Yet a lot are just articles. Younger Years mainly focuses on Krist's life prior to moving to Aberdeen, Washington. It does provide some worthy information. Nothing new unless you are not familiar with Come As You Are. In the section, Krist Meets Kurt, you are given some information about how they met. The unique thing is that it discusses how and when they met. Which brings some new information. Krist In Nirvana is currently being worked on. Krist In Sweet75 is a direct link to Carl Kim's Sweet75 page, probably one of the only ones and the best on the internet. Krist has been active in politics during the last few years. In the Krist In Politics area, it gives links to the JAMPAC site in which Krist gives speeches. It is very informative and interesting in my opinion about what Krist has to say about certain issues. It also gives a little introductory paragraph on his history about being into politics. With a timeline, you are introduced to a lot of [comprehensive] information than before. It goes through a lot of things that a lot of other timelines have not gone through. It is a good timeline to look at. It lists when Krist got married to when he started working at Taco Bell. The Interviews/Articles section is excellent in most respects. It has 20 articles and 2 chat transcripts and 2 interviews. It ranges from Krist being in Sweet75, to his role in politics and defending Eddie V. As for the tabs, you guessed it, most of them are Nirvana tabs and only three Sweet75 songs are listed. The layout for this area is not that good, but it is nothing to complain about. Personally, I would prefer to have tables. Tables are neater and lists things in a more orderly fashion. A collection of sound files consisting of Sound Clips and Quotes from different sites can be found on this page. Here you will find Krist talking in concerts, radio shows, or playing an instrument. You can also find clips about Krist discussing JAMPAC. Again, the total number of clips is 20. All of the files are less than 150 kilobytes. The pictures gallery also good. Unlike Nirvana/Sweet75 sites, it provides plenty of Krist pictures. Here are the sections and number of pictures it has:
Next we have video clips. I am unaware of the size, but each one is in '.mov' format. It has five files. Looking through Nirvana pages, you should have seen Krist's equipment information/FAQ somewhere. This site has it. You can find the latest Krist-related news. It looks like Sweet75 is working on a new album. The miscellaneous area has Krist's post on alt.music.nirvana and some other things such as information about Krist's father and his history. As for the bootlegs, you have Nirvana and Sweet75. Of course, the Nirvana site will have much more. Take a look at those and see what you can find. To see the latest and older updates for the site, go to "Updates." There are links to the JAMPAC and AMPT Radio sites (both links will be listed at the bottom of this review), in addition to the links section itself. Finally, you can sign the guestbook and view it. Conclusion Finally, Krist gets the credit he deserves with a site dedicated to the things he has accomplished musically and politcally. No Nirvana or Sweet75 site can do what this has done. It has tied both ends together. No longer do you see less than 10 Krist pictures at a Nirvana site. The site should work on it's graphics, but it is no major flaw. For the most part, the graphics are presented in a good way but sometimes the background can make the text hard to read. This is a terrific site, honestly speaking, and I hope that it grows because it has plenty of potential. Links |
