Introduction
99.9% of all Nirvana pages
that "make it big" started out as a small page with a
dream. If it works hard enough, the page can become
something. This is a page of that such, it is still in it's early
stages of development.
Connectivity Test
-
Modem: US Robotics
56K Winmodem
-
Connection speed could not
be determined.
-
"Welcome" pages
are included in the test
For Internet Explorer,
the page completed it's download time within 20 - 30 seconds. Netscape
Navigator also completed the download for the site in about 30
seconds. The major contributing factor here was my ISP, and I
strongly believe the page will download in a lesser time on better
connectivity.
As I have mentioned earlier,
it is the reason of my ISP that I think the page downloaded so
poorly. Yet the chart about suggests that the page did
download like it was supposed to.
Page Interface
A very, very simple format
here. We all used this kind at one point or another. The
page has a black background, a picture of Kurt, to the left are the
links that serve as the navigational source for the site -- they do not
stick around for the whole deal. Below that is some reasons for
creating the site and such from the author. I suggest
experimenting with the site's interface a little bit and see what you
can come up with, because it is your site. Try to add
tables or whatever to spice things up a bit.
Site Content
There's not a whole lot of
content here, but keep in mind that the page (or at least I think so)
has just been around for a short time.
-
Pictures - 18 pictures
in all. There are actually a few I haven't seen before.
There are no thumbnail previews provided for the pictures, only
numbered links.
-
Links - At the time of
this review there was only one link, a site that I admire very
much. I suggest adding some more links, and it doesn't have to
be a lot of links, just to sites that serve a specific purpose.
-
Lyrics - for the albums Nevermind
and the follow-up, In Utero. Even for these two albums,
the lyric set is not completed.
-
Text-version of the
suicide note
Conclusion
Even though the site did not
have that much, and even though I can not strongly recommend visiting
this site, I do think you should e-mail the author of the site and give
him some suggestions. Not everyone is telepathic and can read your
mind. The best way to see the site you want on the internet is to
either make one or give suggestions to a viable one. It's the only
way to make it. Still, I do wish the site the best of luck and I
hope to review it in the near future.
