Clickable ImagePeople That Rip of Nirvana Pages

When someone comes up with an idea, a great idea. A lot of times people will buy, in most cases, the products. Now that the Internet has become an explosion in the 90's, there are many more ways for people to express their ideas.

Back to the idea now, soon or later other companies will take some of that idea, come up with some of their own ideas and put it with the original one. Hopefully, in their mind, to create a better "product." Does it work? Sometimes. This applies to webpages of all kinds also. But it is more widespread, because most Nirvana pages do not have a copyright on their material. Also ideas can come in the form of music, clothing, and thousands of other things.

Now with this page that is being reviewed. This is fairly a new page, so there are not many pages that are listed at the moment. When you enter the page, you'll have an image and the logo for the page. On the right side you have an 'explanation' of the page. On the opposite side you have an image map, thus the navigation of the page.

screenshotOn the bottom of the page is the banners section. This is where you recieve the HTML code and the preview of the banner, in case you want to add one or two on your page. So what's in the list? (For security reasons I won't list them.) You have a table, there it has the riptee (or the page that ripped off) and information on what it ripped off. Finally it shows what page it ripped off. When you click on the information on the page, it shows a list as to the title of the page, the e-mail address of the webmaster, the pages that got ripped off and exactly what was taken.

Did you see a page that you obviously took someone's idea? Well you can do something about it. Here's what you need to do: just click on the 'Add Someone' on the image bar on the main page. There you can submit pretty much all the aspects of information.

Accussed of being the riptee? Instead of facing humality, you can 'Clear Your Name.' That's a section, all you do is fill out a form and explain why it should not be listed (your page.)

The Question

Why do people rip off other people's ideas? As it is a known fact that people want to have more hits on their page. They want to have something that everyone has, therefore you don't have much of a "choice." Usually they will present it in a different way. In the webpage world, I feel there is nothing wrong with "copying" someone's information. However you should take the following steps:

I have stated that really angry with everyone having lyrics. It's great to have a lot of choices to go to. Maybe some lyrics are innaccurate or just a case of better navigation. So remember next time before you get some information or what not from someone's page. A lot of times it can be just a page like this that will bring it out to yours and other people's attention, or, in some cases, a lawsuit.
