The Nirvana Setlister

Okay, so I thought this was just a bootlegs page. Well I guess looks decieve yours truely every once in a while. However, I had a further look and found something much more out of it. It's the Nirvana Setlister, as you already know. Looking for bootlegs correct? You came to the right place. Let's have a further look.

This is more of a "product" than a site. Don't get me wrong, it's still a site. Without the following it would just be a "product." The first section is 'Terms of Service.' This simply explains that you can't copy the work, blame for the damage done on your computer, etc. Speaking of computers, here's the system requirements for it.

System Requirements

486 IBM or compatiable machine with PentiumŽ Processor.

Windows 95 or 98 (sorry Mac users.)

12 MB or RAM (16 MB recommended.)

2.5 Megabytes of HD space.

Winzip extractor program.

1) You should read some rules on how to get this program up and running. The first step is to read the 'Readme' file about the program. Don't worry, you don't have to download anything. Click on the link and it'll show up on the page.

2) Following the first step, the second step is to download the Nirvana Setlister program to a folder on your computer.

3) While it is downloading, you can get your account. That's right, it has an account program, and you'll need one to use the program. For now, you'll have to e-mail the webmaster to get the temporary username and password. (Note: a later version should solve this problem.)

Here is so information you'll find at the site while the program is downloading. The other section you will find is 'Essential Tools.' First, you have, of course, Winzip. Then you have RegClean, which *gasps* cleans up your registry. Following that is Internet Explorer and a program that can pause your downloads, 'GetRight.'

Do you want to keep up to date with the site and the 'TNS' program? Well don't get the tissue boxes out yet, you can join the mailing list. All it requires is your e-mail address. The next two and the last section is for e-mailing purposes.

Of course, the section in the middle of all that is the 'Bootleg List' the webmaster has. Take a look at the list and see if you want to trade. Then there's the link section.

Well in no time at all the program downloaded quickly. I'll go the Windows Explorer and open the Winzip Extraction file in the folder I downloaded it to. After you open the Extraction file, Winzip should extract the setup file. It'll open a setup window. Then you install it into your Programs directory. Go to the Programs menu and open the program, then you'll see the following window.

Now remeber you should have the password and user name in hand. Then you click on 'OK.' After that, you should get some window about the temporary account if you are using one. Then you have the Navigation guide, with the chronological dates.
