Introduction
Some things in life are just
plain hard to find. It could be a job, a friend, or, in some cases,
a Nirvana site. After a little bit of searching, I came across this
reviewable site.
Connectivity Test
On the main page of the site,
there are a total of four images, consisting of 36,674 bytes.
@ 14.4 = 22.83 sec. / @ 28.8 = 11.41 sec. / @ 56K = 5.87 sec.
Netscape Navigator
downloaded the page completely in about 40 seconds, while Internet
Explorer downloaded the page completely in about 40
seconds.
Explanation:
Forty-seconds? You've got to be kidding, right? Clearly the
download time should be around fifteen seconds at the speed I'm connected
at, however my server isn't always perfect, but I believe this page, from
the way it looks, downloads quite quickly.
Interface
This page takes simplicity to a tropical level. That is why the
page downloaded so quickly. It is simple, honest, and hey, it looks
good too!
What we have here is a peach
colored background, under the title heading of the page is the navigation
menu, which is simply done. The only other thing in there is a
picture. Out of all the reviews I've done, this page is one of the
simplest ones I've seen...which can be a good thing.
The page seems to work fine in
all resolution settings and will work and function in any browser.
My Suggestions: Even
though I liked the simplicity of it all, there are a few things I would
want to see in a future edition of the page. Namely, a better
navigation menu and site updates/news. For the navigation menu
(maybe I'm just being too picky), add some ActiveX Controls into
it, or allow it to highlight when one moves their cursor over it. As
for the news/updates, people want to see what you've been doing with the
site.
The Site's Content
It is a theory that the less
variety of content a site has, the more original it actually is. Although that theory has not been proven yet, would this site help support
that theory?

Pictures: A total of 15
pictures, all in thumbnail and divided into a 3x5 set. Just one
problem, a lot of the pictures did not download and thus I could not
view them all. But it could be this server again.

Conclusion
This page is more simple than
I thought. Not only in graphics, but also in content. Is there any
problems here? Certainly. There's a lot of things this page
could do. For starters, it could add more content. Add the
things that builds up to your own individuality.
