Two Sweet 75 page reviewed

Straight From The Cane Fields

I looked around for a little bit to find a Sweet 75 page to review. Although most of them are not the "latest and greatest," they are still pages that support a very unique band.

In addition, my options were limited because there are not thousands of Sweet 75 pages, unlike Nirvana or even Foo Fighters pages. And you ask "Why?" The reason is because the band keeps a low profile, or at least they try to. For example, they do not do videos for MTV, and they try to do the least amount of reviews possible. Again you ask, "Why?" Put it this way: if you were interviewing Krist Novoselic, wouldn't you be asking him "particular" questions? I prove my point. However he has managed to answer a few questions here and there, but he isn't going to give full-detailed answers like I know he usually does. So that is why I reviewed a Sweet 75 page.

Although this page is a little outdated, it said the Sweet75 album was to be released in August, and that was year. However it provides a nice picture of the band at the top and some very good information as well.

It gives some concert reviews, in addition to how the band got started, and then there are some links.

Conslusion

It's an OK site, however, I'm sure there are some better and more up-to-date ones as well. However, you won't be dissapointed for the most part if you want to visit this page.

Sweet 75: A Band That Can Cick Yer Ass

This is probably the better page of the two. Possibily the best Sweet 75 page as far as I know. First, it has a news section, which you will find very helpful, and not to forget that it is updated reguarly. Another thing that is in this site (that should be included in others) is updates. It gives the date, and what they updated, or what happened that day. It gives some help to find out about how much this site has improved.

Also an interesting section, you will find, is the History section. This gives some history about how the band formed, and other such things.

You will find the lyrics for their debuet album in addition to one B-Side and rare song. Not only that, but you can find some files in Quotes and even from Krist's radio show, Ampt Radio. And some sounds from interviews. There is not a lot of movies here, only one, but it is a clip of an interview with Krist.

You will find the Discography rather good. You will find the album information, singles, bootlegs, compiliations, and even magazine and radio appearances. The tour dates are not complete, or even not up-to-date, however, it is quite good considering the lack of information there is around about the band anyway.

Another interesting section is where some fans give the band praise. They send in their comments, and thoughts about the band, and it shows up in alphabetical order. In addition, the other big section of the page is the articles and interviews section, where it offers just about every article/interview I can think of, and more: it has album reviews as well and not to forget the Geffen band biography.

The guitar and bass tabs are not very complete, and he does give a reason why. However there are three guitar tabs, and one bass.

There is also a site FAQ, which is where there are obviously common questions answered, it's pretty helpful, if you have something on your mind. As of now there are eight concert reviews, and if you want to go see them, but you are not sure, here is the place find out.

There are plenty of pictures to look at, especially if you are interested in what Krist looks like now. They are pretty much in thumbnail form. The links is excellent, for the most part. This link secetion also gives Nirvana, Shudder To Think, Ministry, KMFDM, Chris Conelly, and The Swans links. And this site gives some credit out to the people that helped make the site possible.

Conclusion

An excellent Sweet 75 page, it is full of everything and a lot more. It's very good in the links, interviews and articles, the sounds, and especially the other information. I strongly suggest you visit this site, because it is better than some Nirvana sites.
