OCTOBER JOURNALS pt.2
OCTOBER.20,..Well yesterday was officially my 38th birthday! WOO-HOO! 2 more years and I'll be the big 4 0 ! Now thats depressing!! Oh well I plan on enjoying these last 2 years of my "youth" LOL Did you know that some people actually consider 35 middle age? I guess if you live to be 70 then it is. How sad. Well hell I'm gonna live to be 100 so technically I won't be middle aged till I'm 50.That sounds much better.Several of my older sons friends thought I was only around 32.Oh yeah, sure, that would've made me about, oh say 13 when I had my son!!! Good one! My adorable niece J. came by to wish me happy b-day and to show off her new tatoo(a shamrock on the small of her back,because her fiance is irish) she also had her nipple pierced! OUCH!! She must be in to pain.Her fiance also got his nipple pierced.KINKY! Can you believe he's a science teacher at the jr.high?! You never know! Maybe I'm just getting old. I'm still debating on wether or not to get a tatoo.I'm thinking about having my hubby's name tatooed somewhere,just not sure yet. My father inlaw comes in town today so we will be doing alot of eating for the next 5 days! Thats his form of entertainment.As much as I enjoy going out to eat I am not looking forward to this! It's hard enough to lose weight just eating my own cooking.The temptation of "real food" is just too much!My hubby made my birthday dinner last night and he also baked me a chocolate cake.Yes I had a piece,but only as part of my reward meal.I'll write more about that later.My daughter got her report card yesterday.She got her first C and also her first D! She did however get 3 A's and 2 B's . The D was actually in reading,normally her strong point.Unfortunately because she was sick she didn't turn in a book report that was a major part of her grade.We have decided not to restrict her this tme because she already feels so bad plus her brothers were being obnoxious and rubbing in the fact that "Miss Perfect" got a D!! I think I'll restrict them instead!! Brothers can be such a pain! huh Val? Have to go now, have good day all!~peace~
OCTOBER.22,...Had a pleasant day with my father inlaw yesterday.Went shopping out at the outlets stores.Picked up a bunch of goodies from Harry and Davids.Then went to Hadleys,bought a bunch of food there and had 1 of their world famous date shakes.Yuck!Then drove to OAK GLEN ( A quaint little apple town in the foothills)had lunch there.Afterwards we went shopping some more,bought my daughter a winter coat(ya know how cold it gets here in Calif).Had dinner last night at my fave.restaraunt Mimi's Cafe.Went and picked up not 1 but 2 pies from Marie Callenders for dessert. So as you can see I pretty much spent the whole day eating.I probably gained about 500 pounds already! Today is going to be pretty much the same thing.Shopping and eating.Better go throw up so I can make room!I miss my mother inlaw.Blah.P.S. OCTOBER.25,...Good morning! One more day and my FIL will be gone.It's not so much that I want him to go ,but it's been almost a whole week and I'm just plain wore out! Everyday we go running!Friday we went clothes shopping and out to lunch.This weekend we went to Dana Point to check out the harbor and had lunch there.Then we went to Oceanside and did some pier fishing,in the dense fog even! For dinner we went to a very exclusive seafood restaraunt, even though we all looked like crap from fishing all day.My hair doesn't hold up very well at the beach especially in the fog.It was straight and flat.Yesterday we went looking at houses.He can't believe how much our little town has changed.It used to be a crumby ol cow town but now with the new golf course, expensive housing developements and new schools he was really impressed! I was able to talk him into eating dinner at home last night.My hubby cooked an awesome dinner,shark and salmon,rice pilaf,steamed veggies and cheese bread.I made a delicous pumpkin crisp w/ice cream.For dessert we invited my aunt and uncle, and my dad,stepmom,and sis over to visit.Today just he and I are going back up to Oak Glen to get some apples,apple cider,and of course an apple crisp~!Then he wants to buy me some dried flowers for a vase he bought me,and OF COURSE we'll be going out to lunch.Puke!I actually miss my lowcarb diet.I felt so much better.Oh well I better get goin,I only have 3 hours to take a shower get ready and do a mountain of dishes from last night!!
OCTOBER.26,..HI ALL! Not much to report.My fil left this morning and I'm pretty worn out,not to mention bloated! Started back on the induction diet today.Just went grocery shopping and to see my sis today.Stayed up late last night thanks to my 14 yr old son.He woke me up around 11 pm to go pick up his girlfriend.Her and her gramma had a fight and she got locked out for the night.Lovely.She's a sweet girl,but it seems she has a very dysfunctional family.Gotta go to my girlfriends house in a bit to see about borrowing a costume for halloween.She has supplied me with costumes for the last couple of halloweens! She's the BEST!! All the carbs this week has really weighed me down,literally! I feel sooo tired! I guess we're gonna carve our pumpkins tonite,oh boy.excuse me if I just lay down on the keyboard now and take a little snooze.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

Had a housefull of kids yesterday.Was very hectic!! And very loud!They were all going to a b-day party and decided to meet here afew hours early!Finally got everyone outta here and then my dad,stepmom and sis came by! Fortunately they only stayed a few minutes.I'm supposed to make popcorn balls and candied apples today.My kids have been buggin me!Should be messy.My neighbors are putting up a haunted house in the front yard.Looks pretty interesting! I'm starting to get excited!! Have a great day all!!
OCTOBER.29,..2 more days till Halloween! YEAH! just been busy gettin read for sunday,trying to piece together costumes,makin goodies,that sorta thing.Watched Blair Witch last nigh.It was ok,but it was way over hyped.Thought I should preview it before I have everyone and their kids come over and watch it tonite.Liked Charlie Browns The Great Pumpkin better!Hey D. your page is sooooo cute! OCTOBER.30,... Ended up canceling out on having everyone over last night.My son needed me to be a taxi driver for him and his friends instead.Stayed up past midnight taking everyone home.Thats late for me! lol Oh well my sis wasn't feeling well anyway ,so hopefully we will be able to do it tonite instead.How bout you K and R,you guys comin? Was supposed to go to a Halloween party tonite myself but don't feel up to it.The kids are going to a big halloween bash tonite called Ghoulfest with live bands.My oldest son is going up to San Francisco today after work.He says Halloween is to Frisco like the Mardi Gras is to New Orleans.Plus it's he and Emily's 2nd anniversary.How perfect.Halloweens their annivesary!!Unfortunately he didn't have enough money to go up there after he payed his bills,and on top of that when he got home last night he had a flat tire.So now I have to lend him the money to go buy 2 new tires ,because my hubby figures by the way the first one was worn the other one's gonna be goin soon too.My son is so funny cuz he was all mopey yesterday but he wouldn't say why till last night.Turned out he was all depressed cuz he figured he couldn't go see Emily.He even had tears in his eyes when he finally told me.So what's a mother to do?! Give him the money of course.Only now I have to go buy him 2 new tires, only that he's paying me back for!It was worth it for the big hug he gave me! Made a bunch of halloween cupcakes yesterday and of course I ate 2! What a piggy!Well better get dressed and go to the tire store.Don't forget to set your clocks back tonite people! TOMORROWS HALLOWEEN!!!
