On The Road:The Moffatts spill the dirt on fans, concerts and their life on the go!

Canadian bros The Moffatts are making the rounds across the states this summer to support their debut US album Chapter 1:A new beginning.Tiger Beat caught up with them at a stop in Cincinnati to chat about all of the essentials of bringing their special brand of pop-rock to both coasts and everywhere in between! Not your average Boy Group..."It's really different for us,you know, when we come to the US and we play alot of the clubs,"Clint said of The Moffatts' live show."People when they first hear The Moffatts they automatically think,"'they're going to dance.'So when we come up on stage they were like,'Geez, they're playing instruments!'"Celebrity Sightings...Everywhere The Moffatts go these days they get recognized by fans, but being a celebrity dosen't mean you don't get star struck!"I'd like to meet Tom York from Radiohead,"Scott confided to Tiger Beat recently."I met Robbie Williams-we did for the first time a few days ago,so that was really cool."Scott says.Four!...The Moffatts were psyched to spend their break before the start of their current tour at a resort hotel in Hawaii relaxing on the beach, snorkeling and playing golf.On stage the guys are all equally talented, but all four brothers agreed that when it comes to golf,Bob's the best!Unplugged...The guys didn't have to worry about using microphones or plugging in their equipment when they played a special rooftop concert hosted by Cleveland's WKYC-TV.But on stage, everything's super loud, and they have to wear special earplugs so the noise dosen't damage their hearing."Now we have these little monitor things that go in your ear,"Said Scott."They're just like the monitors but you can block out screaming. But what we do is we mic the audience so we can get the screaming."Bookworm...Of the four Moffatt brothers,Dave's the shyest, but he's also the most scholarly! On tour, while the other guys are playing videogames,Dave's often got his head in a book!"I'm reading a really good book right now. It's Stephen King's Skeleton crew,a book of short stories,"he told Tiger Beat."It's really good."Fan Love...The Moffatts know how loyal their fans are,so they won't ever cancel a show, even if they are sick."We've played shows with flus, with sore throats and all,"says Scott."We can't cancel a show.I mean,it's like if we've sold 20 tickets to a show, then we have to do the show, because they've(the fans) driven from, let's say a hundred miles away, so we're not going to blow it for them."Fan Fanatics...If you had thousands of screaming fans grabbing at you everytime you walked out of your house, you'd probably get freaked out, right? Not The Moffatts. They love it!"I think that just gives you a rush,"said Clint."I think it's cooler when you're going somewhere and people are crazy, because it lets you know that people are really into your music seriously."On The Road...Even stardom has its price. The Moffatt brothers had to sacrifice spending time with their family back hoome in Canada to tour the states and do what they love."Ever since we were young we've been travelling alot,"Said Clint."So I think we've grown accustomed to being away from somebody for a long time. It's always nice to go back and see them, but we're pretty used to it by now."
