January 29, 1999
Hey, and Happy New Year (a little late) to all of you, our loyal listeners and fans! This is Tony, and I and everyone involved with Eve 6 hope you had a great holiday season. We appreciate your support more than ever and are extremely grateful for all of the e-mails. I must give a hearty apology for
the lateness of this newsletter. We took our much-needed three week break
in December, and went straight into rehearsal and Europe throughout January.
But of course, for some stupid reason, our modem refused to work in Europe, so a month's worth of e-mails sat unread, and we couldn't mail anything out (I'm
actually writing this on the plane back to the States). But now it's well
into '99, and we are ready for a heck of a year. So here goes some info!
(Feel free to forward this newsletter to any mailing lists or whatever you can think of.)
Thanks to you, we have sold 1.5 million albums, and our second single "Leech" has become a hit, being played on just about all modern and rock stations throughout the nation (number 6 with a bullet this week on the Modern Rock Chart). Keep on calling your stations and requesting it; those requests
really help push a song. Same goes for MTV, MuchMusic, and other video
programs. They are playing "Leech" but not as much as they could.
Please E-mail or call in your requests, and maybe the video could get on Total Request!
Speaking of MTV, we're on the way to New York right now to film two shows with Jesse and to appear on Total Request as guests, so keep your eyes open.
The next single is confirmed: "Open Road Song". Look for it (video as well)
in late March/early April. The next ones will probably be "Jesus Nitelite"
and "Tonguetied".
I've read a lot of confusion about our U.S. Headlining tour in the incoming e-mails. I'm gonna try to clear up as much as I can here. Firstly, every
single show is all-ages except for a mere two. Those are the ones in
Boston, MA on Feb. 24th at Paradise, and in New York City on Mar. 2nd at the Bowery Ballroom. These shows are 18 and over. Secondly, every show except for the Miami Hard Rock Cafe show has pre-sale tickets; you can buy them probably through Ticketmaster or whatever. Here is the full schedule for the just
first leg on the east coast and Canada (Feb./March), but remember, we hit
the midwest, south and west in April/May:
Feb. 3 West Palm Beach, FL Respectable Street Cafe
Feb. 4 Miami, FL Hard Rock Cafe

To all these shows, we'll be doing boatloads of promo stuff, like radio visits, in-store appearances, etc., so be on the lookout. You won't be able tO avoid Eve 6 in 1999!
Keep checking our website (www.eve6.com) and all the other terrific fan
Sites (a good way to find those is through www.ubl.com) for just about everything
that is Eve 6, such as lyrics, tablature, mailing lists, pictures, clips, etc. Also, those fan sites contain dozens of links to other Eve 6 sites that
aren't listed in the UBL.
Thanks again to all of you for being there throughout last year and for all
of your e-mails (every one of which we read, I promise). We'll see you on
the road for the rest of this year, and remember...Liberate the Lobsters! :)
