You probably came across this site on your search for something Kara's Flowers, right? Then I don't have to explain to YOU how good they are. But maybe you've come here by accident... maybe you're just a lost soul on the internet highways and a mistaken click of the mouse brought you here. You're probably wondering how this little known, local L.A. band could possibly deserve a fan site. Well, I'm here to tell you just why Kara's Flowers rocks my world, and why they should be given a chance to rock yours.

I think the biggest reason I like Kara's Flowers so much is because their music makes me happy. I mean that. Not in just some oh, la la la, everything's peachy, let's skip and lick lollipops, prozac sort of way. I mean it PHYSICALLY makes me happy. When I listen to their songs, the music gets inside of me and I can feel a smile start to form and my toes start tapping and my fingers start air guitaring. Yes, I am a girl and they make me air guitar! After all these years of wondering why every single male of the species seems to "play" along with the music, Kara's Flowers has now got ME doing it. And you know what? It's fun! Listening to their music is such a good time. I've told people before, their music makes me feel good. When I'm in a bad mood, they make me feel better, and when I'm in a good mood, they add to my happiness. I know that sounds corny, but it's true.

The second reason they deserve a website? They are astoundingly talented. Born only a year or so before me (it's now '99 and 3 of them have just turned 20), I can hardly believe that such young people have such talent. I mean, sometimes I still think of myself as a kid, and they're my age! The way they play just sounds so good. It's that simple. You know when you hear a new song on the radio and it sounds so familiar and yet so fresh and new and original at the same time and you think, "Wow, that's good!"? That's what Kara's Flowers is. It's nothing you've heard before and it still sounds just... right.

I suppose that's the best explanation I have for this site. There are a thousand other tiny details or reasons I could point out and describe such as a particular drum kick, or the way a guitar is picked, or certain harmonies, or jokes told during a set, or chords played, or pauses inserted, or a line of words, or Jesse's switching instruments back and forth, or Mickey's exuberant jumping. But even if I did, you still wouldn't understand their music, or feel it, as much as if you go out and experience it for yourself. And if they HAVE found a place in that corner of yourself you save for your favorite music, then there's no explanation necessary anyway because you know what I'm talking about. I guess the last thing I want to put here is that my world is a better place because Kara's Flowers is in it.
